living in Los Angeles I feel I should comment that this is never going to happen...ever...

I mean really why would california, a state with a larger economy than most countrys join a bloc of states with more animals than people and mexico, especialy western mexico which is not know for its civil character

but I could see a Pan north american free trade zone between Canada, US, and Mexico like the EU, maybe we could add the rest of north and south america to it call it NSAU (north/south american union
