I wonder if he thinks acquiring other countries' economies will bolster our economy. I mean. I'm not an expert obviously but the inflation train is already speeding down the tracks, homelessness rampant. People struggling a lot. Maybe adding these other countries into the mix will help level it out.

I don't know.

What if the 56,699 people of Greenland are treated like second class citizens by Denmark and they want to become a US territory?

Too right Andy we are so interlinked yet the Yanks seem to have developed a different way to nthe rest of us. Nothing good or for bad, they just seem different. Thing is we have to play ball with them, they control us through the dollar, nuke weapon development, communications, military tec h for our planes etc. In seriously believe they can shut us down if they want. A total turn off of our military and economy if they so desire. Nothing is for sure out the window btw, it looks weird for sure )

Well Democrats and Neocons have been allowing and encouraging Foreign powers (some enemies) to take over and control threats to U.S. interests for decades now, including the insane immigration invasions and natural resources needed for industry.

MSM has been helping too.

So sure, why not just let that continue and throw our hands up right? 😄

Just as it would take a special kind of stupid to believe that he plans to be "a dictator on day 1", that same mentality seems to become unhinged with ideas that may or may not be in jest.

Greenland would be a strategic win to become a US territory. If we send the bombers over to take them out, I'll admit to being wrong on this, but I honestly don't think there is a .0000001% chance that's even a thought. The Panama Canal, it looks like Trump is using his form of diplomacy to negotiate better rates for our ships to pass through. Again, if he sends the 82nd in to take over Panama, I'll be wrong and will profusely apologize. I don't think that will be the case.

Lastly, Canada. It was obviously a joke that made a few contemplate the benefits of such a union. If you think anyone who would say such a thing is crazy, just be sure you are consistent and remember history.
en.wikipedia.org...

I sincerely doubt we will use anything aggressive to take any land that the land owners don't voluntarily sign over. But it seems that those sky screamers who buy into all the MSM lies, haven't realized they were lied to yet, and are still blabbering like idiots whatever the MSNBC pundits tell them to say.

At this point, it's comical.

Trump will not "invade" Greenland. The US will acquire Greenland lawfully.

I dont think the majority of the Greenlandic people will allow that to happen.

so you have taken a poll and asked the residents of Greenland what they think about all this? Got a link?

Lots of talk on Rueters regarding the Euro and Green point of view, not so much agreements from the Yankee perspective. I'd class the current time is all up in the air with noting ground out so far. Trump might want to just step in before the Ruskies and Chinese get involved up there. The minerals are going to keep Trump, Putin and Xi playing their cards for control of the island. Throw in the possibility that there is something like Atlantis or alien bases up there too, so ,any undefinables right now to us mere normalities while Trump might have Top Secret information for what really is up there in Greenland

the sad part of all this, is that Donald J. Trump, has been the same bombastic, ego driven, assholish persona person, all of his life in public, he hasn't wavered even a little in who he is, and there are still those who can't seem to grasp it. Almost as if it's written in some other language.

You had me onside until you mentioned Atlantis and aliens.
As big as Greenland is, I think some of the 50,000+ population would have been reporting stuff by now.
There is this though...
Sisimiut's UFO hut
Then there's this by some chap who claimed he found 'an alien spacecraft on an iceberg floating off Greenland'.

They were just on about the mineral deposits on the radio. Looks like the Chinese will be sailing their wares past Greenland too in the future. Best bet is get in there quick and take Greenland before the Chinese and Russian's do it. When resources disappear one of the big powers is going to want Greenland. Best bet get in there first, or divide it up like our ancestors did to africa. Someone's going to get it.

That argument makes no sense. A big power already has Greenland. It's called NATO. Greenland is a member of NATO through Denmark. The US is a member of NATO. There are 30 other members of NATO, including Canada. If either Russia or China attacked Greenland militarily, Article 5 of the NATO treaty would be invoked and all 32 members of NATO would come to the defense of Greenland. That response would be much, much more powerful than if any one nation--even the US--had to defend it alone. If Trump's concern is that Greenland not fall into the hands of a hostile foreign power like Russia or China, the obvious, cheapest, and easiest thing to do is to strengthen NATO.

Instead, he seems hell bent on destroying NATO. That should tell anyone with an IQ in 3 digits that his true motives are not what he is portraying them to be in public. Likewise, that shouldn't surprise anyone with an IQ in 3 digits, since that is what he has been doing his entire adult life. As usual, he's trying to portray himself as having altruistic motives. What he really wants is to BE the hostile foreign power that takes over Greenland.

If he finds a way to make this happen, there almost certainly would be some personal economic benefit to Trump himself that we just don't know about yet.

Nice links thank you! Especially liked "We climbed the ladder into the heart of the ship to check out the inside. There was no lock, just a circular disk of plywood covering the access hatch"

Be interesting to see what the Vikings experienced back when ever they were sailing off Greenland. It's just time to research these things and discover what's out there.

I think that is partially true. He knows the people that can't stand him will bluster and drool, and then when the time comes he will bargain for something surprising and interesting, and piss off the haters even further, except some will awake to their misplaced folly and join the happy farm.

No, I'm simply offering up an opinion.

Same as the Greenlandic people will i should imagine about being bought and sold.

And Greenland is an autonomous territory where a large percentage of the population seems to be all about becoming completely independent as opposed to being bound to other nations.

I think schuyler2 calling with it Trump simply trolling.

I hope its just trolling to keep Democrats and media distracted and focussed on him instead of his team. Because theyre already trying to divide them, with Musk and the H1B1 visas vs Vivek for example.

But yea it sounds stupid and unnecessary. Big talk for nothing. Im not following that bs.
