I would agree with you. But I’d also take any country with primarily western values and principles . But that’s pretty hard to come by today I would say. Like 10-15 I would consider people from the UK but now I don’t think they would qualify. Even my own country Canada is pretty darn socialist and authoritarian.

I edit my post to add something that Sam Hyde talks about well along with funny ranting like he does.

Look what happened to Europe. Only 30% of London are native Brits. Their cultures is dying and being replaced by other cultures vastly different.

We can fix that when you become our 51 to 60th state.

My first job was between my Junior and Senior year in high school. I took a summer job at the local brick factory. The first day, or should I say night was dragging white hot bricks out through the burner ports onto the floor from a wreck in the kiln. It was hot as hell work. They moved me from there to pulling cars of brick out of the drying kilns. They would often accelerate to the point I would have to shove a long steel bar under the front car to stop the train from running out into the yard. Rain would run off the roof and back under it. Talk about dangerous. There was no OSHA back then. After the Air Force, I worked on copiers and printers for a time, I surveyed for a time, I owned and operated a small country store for a time, I cut timber logs for a time, I drove trucks both locally and cross country for a time and then went back to school in my mid 30's for an associates degree in industrial electronics and went into industrial electronics and maintenance.

Not everyone can start at the top. A person has to start somewhere and that somewhere is usually at the bottom for most and work their way up the food chain. You tell me why no one wants to take these jobs and I'll tell you it's because they don't have to anymore. They know, or think the nanny state will take care of them.

Or they end up stealing and murdering for their livelihoods, or doing drugs on the streets.

The limit per year is 85,000 with around 250,000 extended, but can be changed, so in 2024 110,791 were accepted.

And the way they "accept" them is a lottery. Some strangeness, Elon has, I think, 1,700 or so. I just don't think the whole H-1B visa program is that big a deal in terms of total participants at the moment but for this to have been made an issue has me scratching my head. It feels like Elon & Vivek have gone outside their pervue so I feel like if D.O.G.E. doest cut between one and two trillion off the deficit than they need to go. That is what they said they can do and that is what has given them their megaphone.

There are certainly some who will take the nanny state handouts rather than finding out you can work hard enough to scrape salt out of your eyebrows.

And there’s a certain pride and confidence you have when you do something so hard, you’re literally shaking salt out of your hair at the end of the day. I’ll never forget it, and it’s why I would never punch down or talk about those jobs in a negative fashion. I’ve done them, I’m not above them.

But like many I just knew I couldn’t do it forever, so I found paths out. Ironically I work for a technology company now.

Luckily I’m not too worried about my job being taken from someone on a visa or AI. I’m very forward facing and communicating with vendors and customers.

I think all of this is related. The world is going through some massive changes and technology is making it happen quickly. Englang, the UK and Europe have some major problems too. I really believe that the greatest strength the US has is our marketplace, no other country buys and sells, imports and exports like we do and that power needs to benefit Americans too. America is where these businesses and companies want to invest in but just how all of that impacts our countrymen is also very important. America's economic prowess needs to be used to protect Americans too not just turn a profit. I feel the same for other countries, globalization is not what the world needs, at least not at the level the global business community wants. H-1B visa program seems more like a trojan horse.

Modern society with, science, medicine, and the social welfare state, has usurped the laws of natural selection. There are far more now that would not have survived in earlier times. We are being overrun by the intellectually deficient.

Here is Jimmy Dore with a nice analysis and some good information on H-1B. The H-1B visas are a much bigger issue and is being used in sectors it was not intended for. A lot of moving parts here.
great stuff here

This reminds me of when Trump brags about how wonderful the covid vaccines are. His supporters tell him to stop 🛑 but he continues on as if he can't hear the message. This is the same behavior. It's narcissism. Gaslighting 101. If he doesn't stop this behavior, he's going to splinter his base.

OP haven't you realized it yet? it never matters what the facts are, its about manipulating emotions with lies to get people to surrender their rights and accept tyrannical laws and policies, because its how corrupt opportunists and sociopaths make power grabs.

tell the people what the bad reality is, then tell them how you will solve it, then convince them that what you want is what they want, they will support anything as long as you look convincing enough to their primitive side.

corrupt dysfunctional empires always walk this path at some point.
