Few strange things:

1. There was a person standing in the corner of the carpeted area. They had what looked to be a rolling cooler. They weren't with anyone.

2. The place looked empty. Las Vegas is usually packed on New Years, and it looked like a ghost town. No bellhops ect.

3. I'm shocked you could drive so close to the lobby. Trump owned buildings have been a target for close to a decade. No metal barriers?

I bet the Electric-Gasoline hybrids are potentially even more explosive than a Electric or Gasoline solo.

UPDATE

Damage to the surrounding area (and people) wasn't more severe because the Tesla truck was well-made...

Now, after a further briefing by the authorities in Las Vegas, we getting more information. First, we can thank the great construction of the vehicle for why more people weren't hurt or hurt more severely. The police said most of the force of the explosion went up rather than, out and toward the people and the hotel.

I'd say the intention behind this incident wasn't so much about creating a mass causality event, it was more intended to send a specific message. That's why a Tesla was used and why fireworks were included.

Just stumbled on this.

This cybertruck burned in Georgia just hours apart from the one being discussed.

Could a cybertruck, in this case two, be hacked to make the battery system burn? Could the two have had similar network addresses and they lit one by mistake or as a test?

Sounds like someone rigged it to explode to threaten Trump using Elon's vehicle. Sounds like some far left home grown terrorist did this. If it wasn't in front of a Trump owned property, I would have a much more open mind about it, even if it was any other kind of electric vehicle I might consider it possibly a coincidence. But taking those two things in consideration, I think it was planned. It appears to be bigger than a battery explosion, but then again if the truck was rigged to blow the battery by doing something to the wiring, it could be a way bigger explosion than normal.

I wonder if that was a rented vehicle, seems like it would be an expensive way of sending a threat. There will be serial numbers on that, they will be able to track the owner down from that.

I think this would be an act of domestic terrorism myself...by someone who hated Trump and wanted to voice their oppinion. But it could also be from a foreign origion too, Iran does not like Trump and would want to threaten him with something Elon created. This is no coincidence or natural failure. A bomb secured to the battery would also increase the explosion, the Ukrainians did that against the Russians to create a bigger explosion.

A fire and sometimes a small explosion can occur in electric vehicles, but that is not close to the explosion that happened with the tesla in this thread. That was a big explosion, and a battery that is directly shorted could cause a bigger explosion, someone would have to use a big wire or jumper cables to cause an explosion half that powerful. It appears to have been rigged someway.

There have been some electric cars around here that caught fire when they drove them in the winter...not many people here will drive a fully electric vehicle in the winter here anymore, hybrids do not seem to have that problem though for some reason. I know some people who drive hybrids in the winter here and nobody I personally know with a hybrid has had a battery fire yet....knock on wood, my daughters husband has a Toyota hybrid.

The battery was not the cause of this explosion in Vegas. the telemetry data says it was operating fine. The suicide bomber in the vehicle set off the modified fireworks, which can be as powerful as a bomb at ground level.

I don’t see why not. Anything can be hacked.

This is one of the main reasons I don’t trust EV vehicles and their computers. If police wanted to shut you down they could or even worse.

“Let’s overcharge the battery and make it blow”. What’s stopping someone from doing that when they’re so linked and computer driven?

If Elon can make them dance (they can) they can be programmed to send a signal to any implemented device via a digital aux inputs. JS

I actually believe it was a threat against Trump and Musk.
Both are perceived as threats to the left.

Yep. That's what Elon Musk says the vehicle telemetry indicated.

Yepper, and that’s why the story will get twisted and buried.

We'll learn a lot more, now that authorities know who was driving the Tesla truck...

The perpetrator behind the shocking Cybertruck bombing at Trump Tower Las Vegas has been identified as 37-year-old Matthew Livelsberger of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Senior law enforcement sources confirmed to KOAA news outlet that Livelsberger was the driver of the Cybertruck used in the attack.

His ties to Colorado Springs have prompted federal agents and local police to converge on multiple addresses linked to him in the area.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is actively investigating a townhouse complex in the Stetson Hills neighborhood, where Livelsberger is believed to have resided.

What would a Green Beret have against Trump/Musk?

I mean those guys are, like Navy Seals, the creme-de-la-creme of their respective military branches. Not exactly wild-eyed "woke" leftist "social justice warriors".

Curious.

ETA:

Even more curious (coincidental?) that he was involved with "small unmanned aircraft systems" (drones?), given the recent "droneflap".

And the fact that many of those "unexplained" drones have been spotted over, or adjacent to, restricted areas and military bases.

Completely makes sense that a fully electric vehicle parked right at the front entrance to Trump building in Vegas would be full of gas cans. Because, well, you just never know when you might run out of fuel in one of these things, amiright?

Always be prepared, right?

Nothing to see here...

edit - Oh, and the fact that both the NOLA murderer, and the Vegas murderer, were both Army (former and current) is nothing suspicious.

And why can't they ID the person killed in the Vegas explosion? Or, even tell if the person was male or female? I mean really...like people are supposed to believe all this is just one great big fat coincidence?????

C'mon!!

Two ex-military guys.
Two terror attacks.
One In a TESLA in front of Trump Tower.
The other we are lucky did not use his IEDs.

NIdal Hassan comes to mind.

You have the inauguration and the Super Bowl coming up. I would not attend either if I was offered.
