Plane Crash Today --Azerbaijanian E190 passenger jet

Any word on where the plane was headed and where it planned on offloading it's human cargo?

If it was Russia defending itself from an unauthorized flight with sketchy coordinates and no landing clearance, they may have had motive.

There's always more to the story and it's no secret that the ME is on fire right now, Mass Exoduses and Expansive Regimes.

When I originally created this post, it was officially a "bird strike".

Since then it has been also blamed on an oxygen container exploding.

The prevailing consensus, is that it was a missile strike, and the pilots were refused an emergency landing, hence the major diversion.

Just after the explosion, it seems the pilots still had reasonable control of the jet and could have landed safely, but because they were diverted, the hydraulic fluid leaked out until the pilots were helpless.

In my mind, a tragic accident, that was turned into mass murder.

I was a Bombardier (Corporal) in an Anti-Aircraft Regiment.

When we were under threat of attack by air we were issued with a "weapons-free" command. This meant that anything in the sky could be taken down.
If there was such a command, all civilian aircraft should have been warned and notified of the exclusion zone.

Time is a factor.

Especially so if you have been struck by missile shrapnel and are apparently leaking hydraulic fluid.

A O2 bottle exploding wouldnt cause that much damage in the vertical stabilizer and the ENTRY/exit holes do not reflect a internal explosion.
