How much of a raise did they vote for themselves? 😀

Supposedly it’s +3.8%, around $6,600. For a total of about $181k for an average of 147 “hard working” days a year.

We just need to figure out the cost of benefits and salary per day - it's a lot- and go up to a congress member and ask them if they think they earned their per diem today. Then ask them to explain how and why. I noticed that the legacy media did not even discuss wether the raise they gave themselves in the 1,547 page bill was still in the 100 page bill. It's almost like the legacy media is running cover for those useless congress members.

No mention of a pay raise: whyy.org...

But since Congress has decided to only work 136 days in the year 2025, their $174,000 pay w/Platinum benefits, is too damn high!

Following up...

Confirmed: The Bill Approved by the House and sent to the Senate tonight does NOT include any pay raise for our already overpaid members of Congress.

That's probably one of the few things that's good to hear about it. These people are still so completely out of touch, besides their hatred for American citizens.

edit: Yeah, they should be getting a huge pay cut.

IMO, It's more of a "disdain" for American citizens than a hatred of us. We annoy them, but without us, they can't be re-elected.

What's needed is the ability to remove any member of Congress via a special election, if enough citizens of his/her district sign a petition.
