I would love to see some weapons inspectors get in there to analyze Assad's chemical weapons and see if they came from Iraq. I know nobody here wants to hear it, but we know for a fact that Iraq had chemical weapons. The whole angle that we didn't find many because Iraq didn't have them was delusional. They were obviously moved or hidden well enough that we couldn't find a lot of them (although we did find some. It's a myth that NONE were found.) Even some Obama officials, who were no fans of the Bush administration, said they thought Saddam sent his chemical weapons to Assad before the 2003 invasion.

Oh you mean those Russian "advisors" that coalition forces let leave Baghdad in a convoy heading towards Syria? I'm happy to see that someone else recalls the Russian/Syrian angle from back then. I'd imagine by now those weapons were either moved or distributed elsewhere.

And we will see yet another civil war between Syrianistan factions that will return the whole country back to the stone age and soon will be begging for money and for a new sharia law dictator. Those animals just never learn.

US should definitely keep out of that craphole land

Yep. Wash-rinse-repeat, for centuries.

Assad is in Russia.

Russian state media says fallen Syrian president Bashar al Assad is in Moscow with his family.

Quoting a source in the Kremlin, Russian state media outlet TASS said Mr Assad and his family members have been provided with asylum in the Russian capital.

We were heading closer to an ouster of Biden in 2021, when he wanted to force the Covid-19 vaccines on everyone (except his admin and Congress.)

I wonder how much of the Syrian treasury Assad looted before he went to Russia. I also wonder how much weapons and possibly nuclear the Rebels got their hands no it.

Is going to be very interesting, I bet they are turning to Iran for protection.

I don’t mean to derail here, but I gotta ask. Does America have allies? Or just places we pay off or blackmail to install bases.

In other words it is known that Russia backs Assad. Assad on America’s hit-list for awhile. And Israel is at odds with Syria as they are with the ME at large. So angel is absolutely correct in her assessment.

Side note: when Israel grabs land for “buffers” they get a pass, meanwhile the world wouldn’t piss on Putin to put out a fire during his three-year incursion into Ukraine.

Just an observation.

I guess time will tell how this plays out. Is America now on the hook now to “save Syria” and support the southern border to Israel while pilfering Syria’s resources through third-parties as is the MO these days?

But if SHTF who would back the US? Is it the lot of the American taxpayer to fund wars and provide aid to every country that has a hand out? Or do we have legitimate allies? It feels like when 9/11 occurred the world acknowledged our loss. Have we squandered this?

Just food for thought.

Could just be an internet rumor, I’ve been tracking since yesterday.

People were watching the flight radar over Syria and saw a flight leave around the time the rebels took over.

They noticed it flew past Homs, took a U turn, then disappeared from radar.

Some speculation was Assad may have been onboard. Reuters seemed to post a speculative article, and since removed if. Times of Israel still has theirs up.
Times of Israel

Still early and speculative, this would probably be a bad thing if true though. More gas on a fire, and could lead to allegations and further escalations in the region.

Some no name news outlets suggesting this might be used to cover his escape if people end up thinking he’s dead. Not sure if I think the world cares enough about him for that to be an issue though, maybe I’m wrong on that.

It's another proxy war between NATO and the "Evil Axis". CIA/Mossad operatives duking it out with Russian operatives on yet another front. And Trump has the audacity to say, "Don't get involved!" Lol

Pretty concise and spot-on right here.

Well said amigo.

Those "Russian operatives" don't seem to have been "duking it out" with anyone, neither does the Syrian army?

Conspicuously absent, it would seem.

Before 2022 Ukraine was not sending missiles into Russia, but Putin still carried out his Ukraine land grab.

Meamwhile terrorists based in Syria have been sending missiles into Israel for many months. Israel has been given the right to cross the border into Syria, there's the difference.

Putin knew Joe wouldn't do anything, which is basically
a pass by default. Same with Obama when he did nothing
about Crimea.

Biden credited action by the U.S. and its allies for weakening Syria’s backers — Russia, Iran and Hezbollah. He said “for the first time” that they could no longer defend Assad’s grip on power.

apnews.com...

Biden doublespeak.

Assume he is reflecting in his demented mind
how allowing Iran access to 16 Billion in frozen
assets could be considered "weakening" Iran.
