Maybe I am misunderstanding you, but isn't "out performing the bare minimums" not something one would want to celebrate?

I raised to believe you should go above beyond the bare minimums to succeed in life because it will set you apart from the rest. If you are saying that a performance level below what is expected of you is a bare minimum then I can see why you wouldn't understand.

Don't we both know that the EC is controlled by only a few states that traditionally vote conservatively? With the sad offering the Dems put before the nation it's no surprise how they voted. What is surprising is that the Dems got almost as many popular votes as he did. So, no, I don't consider it ''overwhelming''. And yes, Congress is now in the hands of Republicans.

But Republicans are not completely united. Sure, they liked the win but there are still RINOs and the House as I see it is so close that there may be enough holdouts from Trumpianism to vote with the locked in Democrats. And as well, didn't the Senate vote in a leader who has not yet kissed the ring?

So of course he met with Republicans and not Democrats, he knows they will not vote along with him but i guess he wanted to toss out the ''I"m gonna getcha'' to any Rinos

This is fun.

The EC is state by state, and from my figuring is actually controlled by the more left wing. As so many states have got to a majority rule over equal distribution when it comes to EC votes.
But happy to hear where I am incorrect in this analysis.

When we look at it from a popular vote contest, sure the major cities leaned away from the republican candidate. Are you suggesting that is new or novel?

Currently there is no political party that is united and there never has been.

As per your question about the senate, as I understand it they are on recess until at least the change of powers.

When you run a team (never ran a county or country); You welcome other thoughts (if you are rational).
But when an individual refuses your decision as a manager, you have to put them on blast.
A team only works well if it works together.

But I welcome corrections.

So, I see all this as a pendulum that swings back and forth. When it swings so far to one side there is a reaction that it goes the other way too on the far side until it balances out again with short swings. The big question is whether "full on wreaking ball" is a good or bad thing. One thing we do know is that Trump comes off the top rope at first and then settles down to negotiate, so what you envision as full-on will not be as near as what plays out in reality.

When we look at how crazy the left has been these last 4 years and the damage it has done not just to America but the craziness around the world something needs to be done to correct all that. Just looking at one thing with illegals, the Biden administration has let it go unchecked to the tune of 20+ million here with the majority not working and just living off a few that may work and social programs. CA with the highest taxes in the country, boy they tax everything too, is 1.6 TRILLION in debt. Add in so many of these unchecked illegals are military age men from around the world, so what could possibly go wrong there? What could a foreign army of 50,000 deep in America be capable of? Scary stuff...

So why not mass deportation? People are upset with it, but the reality is they would be deported back to their homes, and that is the part people don't get right. If I'm in France and they deport me back to America would the French scream oh that poor guy? They would go back home.... it is not some evil event, and going back would be much easier and quicker than their long trip coming here in the first place.

We can play this line across so many areas to include Government costs with DOGE, Musk cut 90% of the employees from X and X is doing fine, 90%! He sees that only 1% of Government workers are actually in the office working, and the country is still running but at crazy costs, as we see 30+ trillion debt. So instead of growing that 30 trillion how about cutting it 2 trillion per year? One thing we both can agree on is Government never shrinks and is always in perpetual growth and we see that in everything Government wise that bureaucracy just grows and grows. It is only private businesses that downsize because they have an actual bottom-line they need to work with. The government has zero profit/loss accountability....

And, the real question is: Did Democrats want to meet with The DOGE Boys?

We all talked about this before with Trump. The left will do anything to stop him from having a win, and isn't fully successful in anything. Look at how hard they fought against the border wall and border control to see Biden 3 years later say hey we need a wall and border control. I have joked, but it is truer than a joke, that if Trump found the cure for cancer and gave it away for free the left would fight him on it every step of the way.

The left's biggest fear is Trump being successful, and they will let the country die to prevent that. They will let the national debt hit 50 trillion and not blink an eye if it makes Trump look bad.

I think we may simply be having a language problem. We might actually be saying the same thing.

When I go out and work; I don't just exceed the bare minimum. Exceeding the bare minimum is extremely easy to do.

I'd assume one should seek to crush it every time they go out and work. Blow passed "bare minimum" like it doesn't even exist.

What's next, chearing on Trump because he simply tells us that some day in the future our grocery bags will be heavier; but not to ask him any specifics about his plane because he doesn't want our enemies to find out?

Give it time you will see the plans in action. Biden's plans were to do nothing, and he did them very well. Trump is talking about a lot of plans, putting people in a position to execute his plans... They are real...

Government bloating, yes. I saw it from the inside, but that's another story. And we need look no further than government funded road crews doing maintenance, right?

The open border business was ridiculous especially when the Dems knew just how important an issue it was to conservative voters. I don't know, were the liberals so pom pas that they just thought conservatives would just roll over and take it?

But yeah, we can go with the pendulum image. I use the ''wrecking-ball'' image because i have heard it so often here and from his most ardent public promoters like Gannon.

Lefties are doing everything in their power to inhibit, stop, block, prevent Trump in every which way they can.

And as Xtrozero stated above, "The left's biggest fear is Trump being successful, and they will let the country die to prevent that."

That is their game, their ONE AND ONLY GOAL. They will sacrifice everything to achieve their goal. So why in the world would or should anyone give them yet another tip, enabling them to attack and block it? We're not playing Old Maid or Crazy Eights here. It's for all the marbles now, a high stakes situation that calls for strategic thinking, tactical maneuvers and keeping your specific plans and points under wraps until it's safe to expose them. We are in a war unfortunately, for the sovereignty of this country.

Regarding the U.S. Treasury union strongly endorsing Kamala...

The RESISTANCE to Trump and licking of Kamala's boots by U.S. Government Union Leaders, is a "sign" that they know what Obama said on his way out is true. That if Trump was allowed to have a second term, the Gravy Train will end, and there will even be indictments...lots of them.

IN A PANIC, Government Union Leaders are suddenly FINDING SAVINGS, in an attempt to keep Employees from being terminated.

American Federation of Government Employees Union President emerges from a multi-year vacation to say...

AFGE President Everett Kelley pushed back on the incoming administration’s plan to drastically cut the federal workforce and agencies without analyzing the impact they have on the American people.

Appearing on C-SPAN Nov. 22, Kelley responded to recent statements by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy that 75% of the federal workforce and agencies need to be cut in addition to the use of reduction in force and moving federal agencies outside Washington, D.C. The business duo, who have no previous experience in government, have been tasked by Trump to lead the newly created Department of Government Efficiency.

“First of all, when you say you want to cut them without further analyzing and see what our government really needs, I think is misguided,” Kelley said. “I welcome an opportunity to sit down and talk about how we can make the government more efficient. To think that you can take the federal employees inside of D.C. and send them out into the states to work, well guess what? Only 15% of federal employees work inside of D.C. They’re already dispersed throughout the United States. I just think that they need to educate themselves on what federal employees really do and where they are located.”

To make the government more efficient, Kelley pointed to Medicare, which has an opportunity to save $60 billion by combating fraud. Tax evasion also cost the government $1 trillion this year alone.

So, this "leader" knows of over $1 Trillion in waste/fraud, but has never seriously attempted to stop it. He should be in the first batch of terminations!

You're fired! 🔥

Trump is much more conservative in reality than in speech. When asked why he didn't go after Hillary, he said it wouldn't have been good for the country. The left also tries to keep up the Hitler, Russian mole, misogynist, dictator, rapist etc etc... That is a never ending attack on him that they really believe is all true. I work with a lesbian and after the election, she told me she is in fear she will get thrown off a building for being gay. How do people get to this very dark self-created reality?

🚨NEW D.O.G.E. BILLS ANNOUNCED

A Package of ongoing Bills to Implement what the Musk/Ramaswamy Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) recommends in 2025 and 2026...

Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) and Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-NY) on Wednesday unveiled a package of bills, known as the DOGE Act, to freeze government spending, make bureaucrats accountable, and drain the D.C. Swamp.

“The American people have had enough of outsized bureaucracy and wasteful government spending. The DOGE Acts are the first step to achieving government efficiency by requiring federal employees to get back in the office, moving federal agencies into the heartland of America, cutting bloated federal spending across the board, and freezing federal hiring and salaries until we can rightsize the federal government,” Blackburn, the Senate sponsor of the DOGE Acts, said in a statement.

Tenney, the House sponsor of the sweeping legislative package, said:
