Exactly; and when something does blow up as it tends to do (we don't get paid to do things that are easy) it takes forever to find people to deal with the fire.

On November 5th, Americans overwhelmingly voted for Trump to be the U.S. President.

Why do you have to overly exaggerate this. He did NOT win ''overwhelmingly''. He won the popular vote by only 49.9
% to 48.3% for a difference of less than two and a half million voters.

But that aside, yes, his DOGE project is ramping up. And yes, those fellas did meet with Republican congressional members today. But did they meet with Democrat members? Did they? We will have to see what the Democrats and Rinos have to say about this when Congress begins to discuss it as a body.

Yeah right, and CA is still really counting votes, lol.

If you like seeing trillions wasted on useless federal workers then I can see why you wouldn't be enthused by this. I think the rage from the left is more driven by the fact that just like in 2016, America isn't falling off the rails as was claimed would happen with Trump. That's why the left screams about the war in Ukraine bot being stopped yet even though Trump hasn't been sworn in. Y'all did the same thing with the border wall 2 days after he was inaugurated.

While I support the efforts of this department, immediately calling for everyone to return to physically being in the office is not the way to go about it. I know exactly how Musk feels on the subject and I disagree with him, then again I've been remote for a decade. I even took a call from a SpaceX recruiter for a role that would have tripled my salary, once I found out I would have to move to TX and come into an office each day, I politely declined.

I'm not going to be one of those people that says I get a ton more work done and spend extra hours around it. No, I walk into my home office at 9, do what I need to do during my day, and turn off my work phone and leave my office at exactly 5.

I lead teams of consultants and some work off hours because that fits with them. As long as everyone makes meetings and delivers on time, I don't care what they're doing. If it takes you two hours to do eight hours worth of work, congratulations, enjoy the spare time. Cliche as the saying may be, work smarter not harder has always been my mantra.

All this to say, I disagree with the assertion that remote workers are unproductive workers.

No. Nor should we throw garbage at the team before they've gotten on the field.

You'll see the beef when it's ready. It's still attached to the cow.

I remember Waters and Tlaib screaming "impeach 45" before the 2017 inauguration. Which didn't surprise me, and it set the tone for Schiff, Pelosi, Schumer et al for the next 4 years.

If Trump's team starts making the headway they want to make, the opposition response will be unprecedented. You haven't seen ugly yet, but it's coming.

I'm sorry but working from home does not equate to 'barely working'. I've been WFH since Covid and I put in more hours now than when I went into the office. I'd also say I've been more productive. I would wager that if you poll the other 94% you'd get the same sort of response and in most cases it's true.

I get up at 5:30am, shower and get dressed, make sure my 8 year old is awake and getting ready for school and packing his lunch, then I walk outside to start my truck so it can warm up for 15 minutes, then I drive 30 minutes to drop him off at school and then drive to work, unlock the gate, and open the shop up. Then my day starts. Forgive me if I think I put in more work from 5:30am to 7:30am than 95% of those federal workers sitting on their ass all day. I know I put in more when I get out in the freezing weather or 110° weather until 4:00pm.

The wins were in fact overwhelming.

And, the real question is: Did Democrats want to meet with The DOGE Boys? Well we have some comments don't we? If they won't meet, why not is the answers THEY MUST provide now. 🥥

Democrats need to shore-up their strategies as they will have less power very soon after their face slappings.

Article here has some Democrat comments (even though the story as usual, goes off on tangents and false equivalency tactics):

CBS article
😁

In recent days, some Democrats have said they will join or expressed interest in the caucus as well. Rep. Jared Moskowitz, a Florida Democrat, told reporters Wednesday that he's "not afraid of having the conversation," saying that "staying in a safe space and not having the conversation isn't going to help anybody."

"I think Democrats should embrace government efficiency," Moskowitz said, after becoming the first in his party to join the caucus. "That doesn't mean that we're going to start cutting services, but I think it can be more efficient."

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, a Massachusetts Democrat, told reporters on Thursday that she'd be willing to work with Musk if he "wants to change government contracting to cut billions of dollars of waste out of the Pentagon budget."

"We're here to do work on behalf of the American people," Warren said. "And if that means working with Elon Musk, I'm ready. And if it means fighting Elon Musk, I'm ready for that, too."

There's talk about low hanging fruit. They had a kumbaya "ideas" session with their alies in congress.

What's next?

Complaints about grocery bags being too heavy? 😄

I work from home and I do actually work. I don't take for granted that I don't have to get up early get ready sit in traffic just to get to a place to work. I understand most people hear work from home and immediately think non-working lazy jerk, but it's not always the case.

Lyndon Johnson was elected in 1964 with a 61% popular majority--and 486 electoral college votes compared to Barry Goldwater's 52.

Richard Nixon was elected in 1973 with also about a 61% popular majority--and 520 electoral college votes compared to George McGovern's 17.

Ronald Reagan was elected 1980 with about 51% of the popular vote, compared to Jimmy Carter with only 41%--and 489 electoral college votes compared to Carter's 49.

Barrack Obama was elected in 2008 with about 53% of the popular vote compared to John McCain with about 46%--and 365 electoral college votes compared to McCain's 173.

All of those Presidents had 1) a greater than 50% popular vote in absolute terms, 2) a 7% or greater margin in the popular vote than their defeated rival, and 3) more than twice as many electoral college votes as their defeated rival.

All of those Presidents could be said to have won overwhelmingly and had a mandate, of sorts. Trump doesn't have any of that.

Now do Joe Biden in 2020 when CNN said he had a mandate.

Georgia election wins give Biden a mandate -- and mounting expectations

(CNN)The Democratic sweep of Georgia's Senate seats has ushered in a heady new reality for President-elect Joe Biden, who will take office in two weeks with a mandate to act and the numbers on Capitol Hill to deliver on some of his most ambitious promises.

Then you got nothing to fear unless your managers are gov and may not be allowed to report real facts. Sound familiar?

The BOTTLENECK is going to be Congress itself. Our elected "leaders" only work in D.C. 119 days @ year. They spend that little time passing normal bills (with their eyes closed) and saying "NO!" to the minority party's requests.

A high-powered Business-owner duo presents significant measurable needed cost saving projects to a Congress who only works 119 days @ year, and guess what you get.

Now add on a President who only sleeps 5 hours @ night assigning tasks to the Congress.

By June of 2025, the American People will be DEMANDING that Congress works a "normal" schedule.

I'm demanding it NOW. Over and Over where MAGA surfs.

He did overwhelm his opponent, so there is that and hardly an exaggeration.

Gee Who cares what democrats have to say, they can suck a big orange (1) and eat the rind.

only working 119 odd days a year is hardly adequate in this day and age. Gitmo for questioning is where I hope they go.

If there was ever an area that needed efficiency improvements it would be getting those bludgers off of their smart bits and make them work.
