The petition which is hosted on the UK government website was started a couple of days ago , in the minute or so it's taken to type this far it has risen to 567,904 so yeah rising fast , I know it won't force an election but it will show the government the level of discontent with the government on it's own website where petitions that reach over 100,000 signatures qualify to be debated in the house.

In the couple of minutes or so it took me to type that the total has risen to 576,194.

I would like there to be another General Election.

I believe the current Labour Government have gone back on the promises they laid out in the lead up to the last election.
petition.parliament.uk...

At this rate I guess it will hit 1 Million by tomorrow.

I hope it will make a difference as it shows how much people now hate Labour because of there lies! The huge amounts of Extortion on the Public which is causing more damage than good.

Not directly but the higher the number the stronger the voice , in a country where demonstrating on the streets can get you locked up other avenues to express discontent are all we have , 591,184.

594,247 + 1

I would like to think this would have some effect on the government and make them re-assess their approach and policies....but due to their arrogance and complete lack of compassion for or understanding of the general population I suspect it won't make a blind bit of difference.

And then there is the fact that even if a general election were called - which it won't be - the only realistic alternative has proven itself to be equally duplicitous, uncaring and nefarious as the present set of twats.

Parliament is rotten to the core and our party political system has completely failed us and is no longer fit-for-purpose.

Yes but as of now signing a petition on the government's website is not a jailable offense , signing the petition may be a futile exercise but not as futile as not signing the petition , when it rises to 1,2,3 Million plus our voice will be heard by a government which a minority of the population voted for.

629,524 signatures as of now.

Starmer's reaction, if he actually makes one, which i doubt will be, " the only people signing the petition are those that didn't vote labour in the first place back in July "

Quite possibly but as Labour only got 30% of the vote from the 60% who voted in the Election that's still a lot of people left to sign the petition , I know some Labour voters have buyers remorse now they've seen a Starmer government in action.

776,594 signed , it could be we see 1Million by the end of today as word of the petition spreads.
