But something is clearly happening and there are good reasons why we should all care about it. As Galloway puts it, “the most dangerous person in the world is a man that is broken and alone,” and society appears to be producing far too many of them.
When men don’t have the prospect of a romantic relationship, they come off the rails. They’re less likely to be employed, they’re more likely to engage in misogynistic content, and some men, without the prospect of a romantic relationship, become #ty citizens.
What does that mean for society? Because the thing that the most violent, unstable societies have in common is a disproportionate number of young men who feel as if they have nothing to lose because they have no economic or romantic opportunities.
