Just look at history. Anytime the Feds take over something like Healthcare, Education, Agriculture, Emergency Relief (FEMA), etc.. it’s all FUBAR.

Ive been in hospitals a lot and they never asked for my political affiliation.

Neither did FEMA……

I'm not sure where you are going with this, the story says they were told to skip houses that had "Trump signs. Theres no need to ask, whereas in a hospital to be put on a heart transplant unless you walk in with a shirt or MAGA hat HITF do they know.

One can be rational and vigilant and not need to bring up instances from 3-4 years, from San Diego during COVID-19 no less.

Not to mention I know Western NC and Florida pretty well and have heard all kinds of stories but the ones from people I trust say that the inefficiency, and ignorance, are worse than the instances of favoritism and all 3 exist in the hurricane clean-ups

You honestly forgot this BS?

‘They Beg me for the Vaccine': Nurses Share Stories of Unvaccinated Patients Fighting COVID-19

www.nbcsandiego.com...

There are liberals at all levels that if you are not in lockstep with them, they want you to die. They will make up BS stories to right out wishing the assassination attempts against Trump succeeded. I’m not a big Trump guy, but the far left isn’t hiding anymore.

LOL, I didn't forget anything, I was fairly plugged into the COVID BS, San Diego included where flu cases were almost non-existent for a year and a half only to rebound afterwards.

Besides I live in a blue county I'm aware of the public's general disdain, still its a bit different to hear it in action in a widespread disaster scenario

LOL its complete bureaucratic bullchit, Im halfway through, and personally it sounds as if she was more concerned about the safety of her workers than the individuals they canvased in each neighborhood

For perspective, she says it was about 20 locations that seemed hostile out of the hundreds of canvases. It completely sounds as if they were profiling the houses they canvased and the FEMA heads knew this.

Thier procedures sound ridiculous, set up a neighborhood area and go through with a bullhorn announcing where it's at, that way you get persons who need help to get thier addresses the go see the homes that don't seek out help

I can definitely see the FEMA canvassing door-to-door being frowned upon in lots of areas, definitely in the mountains and more isolated places

It’s textbook discrimination. Just replace the words trump supporter with the word black.

Theres no need to ask,

Because nobody wears MEGA hats…. Or watches fox news while in the room.

The point is, it only takes a politicized government run healthcare system for bureaucrats to decided who gets what care. It’s doesn’t have to be based on anything than believing you are a right winger.

A person/family with a Car in the driveway with a Trump bumper sticker were also punished. The courts (civilian and military) are going to be VERY BUSY next year!

Yeah, I don't have to pile on, you are talking about politicalized healthcare, and the thread is about politicalized FEMA.

FWIW I believe in less government, and I have a skeptical eye no matter which party is in charge. It's my hope this time will really be different, I think it will be.

There is no doubt the better-prepared side won, now we need 4 good years. It feels like the left has been neutered somewhat, and the GOP has an opportunity to expand its voter base or they can piss away the opportunity to bridge the gap and build an even larger consensus.

They can always go hardline at any time, but they will only get one opportunity to solidify the independents.

You sure. I forgot this aspect of the liberal mindset until this morning. Even thought hospitals and this was in the back of my mind. But big brother is watching.

Coming soon: America’s own social credit system

thehill.com...

Last week, PayPal announced a partnership with the left-wing Southern Poverty Law Center to “investigate” the role of “white supremacists” and propagators of “anti-government” rhetoric, subjective labels that potentially could impact a large number of groups or people using their service. PayPal says the collected information will be shared with other financial firms and politicians. Facebook is taking similar measures, recently introducing messages that ask users to snitch on their potentially “extremist” friends, which considering the platform’s bias seems mainly to target the political right. At the same time, Facebook and Microsoft are working with several other web giants and the United Nations on a database to block potential extremist content.

Now you are just throwing chit at the wall and seeing what sticks...

The only way anything will get fixed is if somebody stays focused on the individual problem.

This one is about FEMA's lousy response in Florida and elsewhere, such as Western Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia, which were also hit.

Like most departments under Federal control, they become bloated inefficient, and bleed money. While it sounds great to have people from everywhere come to help an area in a disaster, having people from a particular region has got to help with a sense of urgency and compassion.

Not to mention the whole canvassing the neighborhoods seems like the wrong approach too, especially if those tasked with the job can't handle it. To me, simply, some will need help and gladly take whatever they can get, while others will be less receptive so instead of knocking and pissing people off, just leave a numbered flyer telling them if they need assistance come to such and such neighborhood area.

The problem is FEMA is full of useless bureaucrats who just want to check off houses and get to the next neighborhood, if they set up aid stations people who need help will find them, and those who don't can stay hunkered down in their houses.

"Politically hostile" ok.

To who? Politically hostile to who? Because of a sign in your yard? I say they just avoid any state with a republican governor or republican majority.

These people really think an advertisement a legit piece of cardboard in your yard means that you are "hostile". Wow.

Oh yes. Politically hostile because we support the wrong party. Got it.

Remember, it is the left that thinks displaying the American flag outside your home is politically hostile.

Too much bloat. The Biden admin went full tard when they took over. WTF is this? The Left was and is insance.

The Peace Department would address white supremacy, gun violence, non-military peacemaking, humanitarian efforts, drug use, bullying and more. The department would also establish a Peace Academy, modeled after the military service academies.
