Probably what the likes of the Boeing X-37 + accompanying payloads can be used for.

Except that not all missile defense is equal. Iron Dome isn't designed to stop the missiles that would be fired at us, so what's the point? Unless you believe Canada and Mexico are going to launch short range missiles and rockets at us. We don't need Iron Dome, we need improved GBI, which is being worked on. We need more launchers, which is being looked at. We need more THAAD and Aegis BMD, and improvements to them.

Of course. That's why I didn't say we do need an Iron Dome. And that's what the experts will explain to Trump if he tries to do anything on this front.

Ideas are rarely implemented the exact way they are first articulated. SDI is a great example of that, as I pointed out. A non-expert makes the concept a priority and the engineers will make something realistic a reality.

It's the Nazi base on the Moon we should worry about.

According to the documentary, 😜 Iron Skies

Oh i dont doubt we would/will f@ck it up somehow.

Growing pains and all that jazz.

The materials that could be build and fabricated up there through could change world in ways we have yet to fully fathom.

Plus once we managed to colonize low earth orbit, the moon is apt to follow soon after.

Its feasible if a somewhat expensive prospect to consider.

And thew ticket, as you are probably aware would be a cost effective manner in which to launch both man and machine in to orbit.

What happened to the aerospike engines is what i would like to know?

"The Coming Race" is not half bad also.

And they are already working on the third installment called "Iron Sky The Ark" set on Mars.

It's not that it would work perfect it what your enemy view it would do to their missiles and with Russia they just had a nuclear missile test blow up in one of their silos.
Some countries like Russia and china hope some of their nukes would work with all the corruption in their countries.
Russia and china knows that us nuclear weapons will work, and they also know fewer of theirs will likely work.
Both Russia and china know it's a losing deal'

but countries like Iran and North Korea might think about launching what few nukes they have at the US and that would be where a US missile defense would shine

Interesting article here on the operational capabilities of Russia's nuclear arsenal:

lansinginstitute.org...

Poor/lack of maintenance, past use by dates and rampant corruption seems to have taken it's toll.

Correct, but they’re not going to be worried about us stopping a nuke with Patriot, which is what this is the equivalent of.
