yeah, I always found Rat Boy very, very creepy. And he looks even more creepier as pope. That'd be very surprising if he gets more moderate as pope and begin to make substantial reforms in the Church that just get more people attuned to Christianity. I'd be actually less surprised if he turns out to be the Antichrist... after all there's not many positions that are more appropriate than this one for destroying christianity and installing a new religion.

Is it me or since 2001 things just keep getting darker and darker each day? I can feel the evil almost everywhere in this world these days, while the '90s look like a big marshmallow party in my memories. I think it's really the end of days...

I have to say that the saving grace here is that Hitler is dead. When you consider the oaths taken by the Nazi Youth to Hitler, and the songs they were required to sing each day in their classrooms that stated "Hitler is more than a man, Hitler is our saviour."...Hitler is God on earth...Ratzinger would be in a nine-line-bind right now if Hitler - or some divinely appointed successor were still alive. Because according to my Bible - you can't serve two masters.

At least war and suicide has had it's positives for once - huh? if for no other reason that to allow him to not be torn between "the two saviours".

All I know is that it was a complete mistake for the cards not to elect a non-european pope. The dude from Hondorus made a very tempting choice as Latin America his home to the highest concentration of Catholics. I think this is an example of the Church doing what it has always done; one step forward, two back. This guy is too conservative and too white, two atributes which are not going to bring in as many new members as the affiable John Paul II was able to do. But it was also a perfect choice as Ratzinger was secretly part of Hitler's brigade to hunt for the Holy Grail, which is the only reason why anyone would hire this man: So they can unfreeze Hitler, continue their pursuit of the chastis of life, and rule the world through religous authority. For Machiavelli pointed out that the people of France before and during his time were more willing to submit to the will of the Church, managed by Italians who were under Spanish authority(?) and the Medici's as well, and there devouted Church following governors rather than the king.

Doesn't it seem also odd that the pope came from Germany of all places. There are about 16 Catholics in all of Germany who just coincidentally happen to be related to Ratty.

Malachy was more than likely chosen for 2 reasons, he was a close confidant of John Paul, and will continue his legacy. He's 78, he even admitted himself, this papacy isn't gonna last thing long.

I watched the whole thing live and for me it was a bit like watching a car wreck - you just know something bad's about to happen but you can't do anything about it.
For me the kicker was his little speech after the blessing - about how he looked forward to 'tending the vineyard of the Lord'.

JPII was born during an eclipse, yes, but he was also buried during a partial eclipse as well.

Ratzinger, in choosing the name "Benedict", could be connected by the prophecy to the Benedictine order of the olives. Also, during his speech and in calling for Peace (i.e. olive branch).

Any one care to mention how the rest of the 'prophecy' goes? And I don't mean the part about which Pope comes after Raty.

Because if the middle of the prophecy is true, it is only to lead credence to the MEAT of the prophecy, correct?

Probably due to the lack of media info.When Rat boy was picked my first thought was my god ATS member got it right maybe something in it.Then 6 secs latter realised the media picked him as favorite a while back.Does this mean the media controlled no l think its just people using it to provide themselves with some creditability.
