Only caveat I would add is full time reservist or AGR positions.

I did 10 active 10 in the reserve 8 of which were full time reserve, so while I wasnt in uniform most week days I still did my military job keeping the unit equipment ready for deployment.

I have to say it was worth taking that oath, but I recall in Boot Camp saying to my buds that "we raised our hands and said I do and we sure did have to do something".

So I worked with a different group than the normal which was Waltz. I flew C-130s and worked with the guard closely. They were mostly AGR, or if not, put in a lot more time than the typical 1 week a month. Another popular thing was active duty would move over to the Guard at around 16 years in. What this gave them was a quicker way to promotion. Active duty could be extremely hard as you compete with everyone else in your spec for that next grade. I have seen people go from E6 to E8 in 5 years or less which would be impossible active duty.

The ONE MFing thing he was working all those years for he dropped out of and let his people down that went. With all that he still suggested he did it and gained a rank that if he did do it and stayed in he most likely would have earned.

I joined the military in 1980 so when 2001 came around I could have retired and not done crap, I did another 8 years flying in Iraq and another 10+ years going in Afghanistan as a contractor.

Let's add he was in Tiananmen Square, took fire in Iraq, and repeatedly lied about their daughter and son being born using IVF. The guy is a habitual liar, even when he doesn't need to lie, he does.

Different experiences I guess.

Vast majority of the people I served with active and reserve had no interest in moving up past E7.

The full time reservists by and large did it for a career.

But that was also aircraft maintenance and we are by and large damaged people.

Do you think that women working in the brothels are happy to have the practices legalised by Kamala? I suspect that those women #ing hate the idea of Kamala as president, they hate that she's legalising their servitude, their bondage to dark practices which corrupt & damage the soul.
