Did you know that it takes on average about 18 months and up to 2 years to get a run of books printed in the US?

I have thought as much. That indicates that Greenwood put this project together and once it was a finished product approached Trump to work as his pitchman, for a solid percentage, one that Trump would jump at.

The question there arises though, the picture that the sales website uses is a picture of Trump holding up the book with Greenwood standing by his side while in the Oval Office meaning that that photo was taken while Trump was in office.
So I guess there is as much possibility that the sales idea was launched between the two of them well before this current promotion.

I hope your TDS stops flaring up. Rumor has it, preparation H helps.

It only works if you brush your teeth at least three tomes a day with it.

Funny thing about book printing now days:

It’s no secret that most of the mainstream Western publishing houses use Chinese offset printing facilities to produce a large percentage of their books.

Carl, I have attempted to present a train of fact following the journey of the orders for the printing of this book, through the printing to the shipping to the sales of the book with the intervening endorsements of Ex-President Trump. It you wish to discuss that chain and possibly the over all conception and realization of this consumer product then we can discuss that. MY own likes and dislikes aside, what is your opinion of the appearance of Trump being a paid huckster for an over priced book.

I have no problem with your source nor with the truth that so much of the printing of books sold anywhere in the world is accomplished in China. That is what it is. The issue here, for me and I wonder how it is ignored by Trump supporters is that he is so adamantly and verbally opposed to any work being done in China by American Corporations.

That is the conundrum presented by this chain of production shipping and sales that was outlined in the article. In the OP and elsewhere I have presented my opinion, my unraveling of that conundrum with an explanation that Trump is a shill, that he is acting only as a salesman for a price while using his reputation as a nation saving, ah, savior. Selling a product that is of poor quality and way over priced as well.

Either a large chunk of the money goes to Trump OR a lot of people have bought this Bible if he's made 300k in royalties off something that costs 60 bucks. Of course who knows how many autographed copies have sold at the much higher price.

Right. One might also think that the cost of the license to use his image as well as his name comes at a sound price, possibly a graduated proce depending upon the amount of sales involved.

As for the signed books, well, why wouldn't all the profit from that alone go to him. Subtract the sixty dollars from the one thousand dollars would mean nine hundred and forty dollars per book sold. Figure if he signed say, five per minute, that's three hundred in one hour for a profit of $288000 for writing his signature for one hour.

Trump, as you well know, abhors doing business with China and no, I will not present any of the multitudes of times he has professed this to you.

But yes, I do know that Trump did not create this bible himself, as pointed out in the OP. however it is Trump who sold his name and image to this cheap version of what is professed to be the Holy Bible. He has used his name and he office of the president to promote a cheap book and sell it for an over priced cost. That is who he really is Dude, a cheap huckster with a broad market base of true believing patriots. You appear to deny this.

Poor sweet Terry. Trump is who he has been his whole life. He has been public, he's been loud, he's been famous, he's been .....Trump. I'm a bit confused as to how you didn't know who he was prior to his political direction. There are old videos of him in many different settings. He was on TV for a while. He had a show. Check into it. We all know who he is. We just like the results he gets. And some of us understand his way of thinking, since he explained it in his book.

If a cheap huckster was able to make your life better and safer, would you resent his actions because he was a cheap huckster?

you would care if the other side did it. anyway, worship the man if it makes you feel good, but he won't shine for you forever and then you'll have to find another savior.

At 13.40 of that video where the guys reviewing the Trump Bible… “I kind of wish it didn’t exist”. lol… Trump made a full blown Christian wish the Bible didn’t exist.

Seriously though, collector cards, shoes, fake gold watches… whatever. If people are dumb enough to be fleeced by Trump and spend there money on that crap, then that’s on them. But selling these cheap China made bibles is a new low even for Trump.

He has no moral code.

No, I wouldn't, and they are free to do it. This is simply a non-issue. It's laughable that it triggers you. As far as these candidates go, none is my savior. We're between a rock and a hard place. Neither choice is the least palatable.

Hell yea! Trump should be making his money selling access through his boy, just like the pro's do. Making money doing business is such a demeaning task.

The guy is a phenomenon. He acts like a king, thumbs up, thumbs down, he places himself above the law, shifts the moral standards, lowers the level further and further, but all of this doesn't seem to bother his followers. He idolizes people like Putin or the fat guy from North Korea, he surrounds himself with dubious characters, with weird people, but whatever, they are fine with it, I just don't get it.

I knew of Trump prior to his Apprentice fame and knew why he was offered the job. Because others turned it down and because he was considered a clown to host a comedy reality show. He was facing financial difficulties at the time and needed he money they offered to help keep his brand afloat. I knew him before his Apprentice fame as I saw him on wrestling and in movies always portraying the rich elitest, the symbol of New York success. We can get into what I mean by New York success if you so I can sum that up as money making money, in this case the money his daddy made in business and then turned over to his son.

We just like the results he gets. And some of us understand his way of thinking, since he explained it in his book.

And here I say you have bought it again. The only success he had was to make bank on the success that Obama ensured by turning the entire Republican crashed economy over to the big banks and Wall Street. As for that book, what a joke. That gook was ghost written by another guy who has since said it was bull and that between the two of them it was made up stuff. It was fiction dude.

It doesn't trigger me, I'm just trying to understand why people forgive him everything. I can relate to what you're saying about the choice.
