Trump trying to over turn election results, and stop the peaceful transfer of power is within the presidents official duties and empowered by the US constitution to do so?

News to me...

You guys need to just stop with these wild lies, the peaceful transfer of power happened.

Every election has had anomolies, the 2020 election was the worst yet.

Every time a Republican wins, the Democrats do the same thing.

Smith's overzealous, overreaching charges will be tossed out again.

That's his MO, look at every case he has been involved in.

Like most Liberals, he has delusions of grandeur.

Did the process get delayed?

It did. And while it was being delayed Trump called around in a last ditch effort to stop the entire process completely. He got what he wanted, and failed because Pence did his job.

CHUCK SCHUMER has introduced legislation to make President Trump eligible for prosecution over the "Election Interference" actions, because the U.S. Supreme Court (obviously?) ruled that DJT is NOT eligible for Prosecution.

Thirty Butt-Hurt (scared?) Dem Senators: www.whitehouse.senate.gov...

Your reading comprehension is crappy.

Here's what the Supreme Court actually wrote:

"Taking into account these competing considerations, the Court concludes that the separation of powers principles explicated in the Court’s precedent necessitate at least a presumptive immunity from criminal prosecution for a President’s acts within the outer perimeter of his official responsibility. Such an immunity is required to safeguard the independence and effective functioning of the Executive Branch, and to enable the President to carry out his constitutional duties without undue caution. At a minimum, the President must be immune from prosecution for an official act unless the Government can show that applying a criminal prohibition to that act would pose no “dangers of intrusion on the authority and functions of the Executive Branch.” Fitzgerald, 457 U. S., at 754. Pp. 12–15.

As for a President’s unofficial acts, there is no immunity. Alhough Presidential immunity is required for official actions to ensure that the President’s decisionmaking is not distorted by the threat of future litigation stemming from those actions, that concern does not support immunity for unofficial conduct. Clinton, 520 U. S., at 694, and n. 19. The separation of powers does not bar a prosecution predicated on the President’s unofficial acts. P. 15."

Special Counsel Smith re-wrote the charges to eliminate reference to any actions that Trump undertook in his official capacity as POTUS and include only those actions he undertook as Candidate Trump.

Seems reasonable. The concept of presidential immunity has merit, but only applies to powers asserted in the function of serving the public. Smith wasn't quite as precise as the endeavor demands, and that's embarrassing, but it doesn't help that political motive makes his clumsy (if morally plausible) attack appear opportunistic.

Most Americans wish Trump had succeeded, and Biden presidency never happened.

Look..you guys can cry about Trump all you want, that's all you guys ever do and you are very good at it.

But you would have to be simple as F not to see all the sketchy sh!t that went on with the Covid lockdowns, unsolicited, unaddressed mail-in ballots, drop boxes etc.

Numerous anomolies everywhere in relation to the 2020 election and Jan 6th but you guys are good Liberal soldiers and are not questioning questionable orders.

Let's see how loud you guys will howl when Trump wins this time.

2nd hand hearsay?

Don't they have Trump's phone?

1) POTUS phone and conversations are privileged and inadmissible.
Presumptive and absolute immunity is key for POTUS doing their job.
Always has been.
This is nothing new.

2) Grand jury testimony is not fact. Smith is using it and other hearsay to establish facts.
Wrong. You can’t establish facts when there’s not cross examination of the “evidence”.
Doing that is a violation of Trump’s 6th amendment rights.
Chutkan is letting Smith put that garbage into the record.

Do the courts in the UK allow one sided (unconfronted) evidence into court?

Our system is different, more front loaded.

Will actual evidence be presented at an evidential stage and or will witnesses give evidence and be cross examined?

Asking cos I don't know, not being US qualified.

Amazingly, 100% of liberals have never said a rude/crude humor remark in their life. Not being a liberal, I have said 100,000s, some were actually funny...lol

Trump's was a reality statement of how women are like around rich and famous people. Guys like him are just a big chunk of meat for female sharks that swim around the rich and famous looking for any opportunity. It was also a rather weak ass statement compared to what I hear daily.

But...oh the horrors of it all...

SCOTUS said in their decision that they are kicking it back because the courts (hastily) didn’t properly apply the built in POTUS immunity.
If Chutkan applies the immunity, there will be no evidence.
That’s not good for them because it essentially nukes the case and their election interference via lawfare in this case ends.
Smith brief was supposed to be 40 pages normally.
This 165 pages of ridiculousness is just so they can get this garbage out into the public before the election.
Chutkans court scheduling, by design, guarantees that.
The redactions are a total joke.
They’ve already been breached, easily, by design.
They’re even admitting it…
Here’s Kyle Cheney, Politico left wing “reporter”……

It was pretty easy to work out the vast majority of people identified in Jack Smith’s brief — which was partially by design. It makes the sealing exercise a bit silly, especially since most of the details in the brief were known, at least in broad strokes.

News flash: POTUS getting to the bottom of perceived election fraud is a core duty, therefore immune.
The sooner you wrap your head around that the better.

Because the margins in the swings states that mattered for electoral votes were small enough to be thoroughly reviewed which was being blocked because that's politics. Biden was vegetable then just like he is now he wasn't qualified to even run due his medical condition so the whole thing was suspect just based on that.

I guess you really can't blame them, they have a president in Biden that does absolutely F'ing nothing.

So they are not used to having a president that uses his powers.

There was none found. He was told that many times.

And it doesn't excuse him for what he did leading up to and on January 6th.

You'll dredge up any excuse to put that idiot in power.

Your hate for Trump will let you vote for Harris/Walz knowing they have no plan for America and are too incompetent to lead the country.

Hurt feelz don't count anymore in the real world.

Other than Biden and his numerous disastrous Executive Orders I agree.

There’s plenty of evidence of shenanigans, even more now.
That’s besides the point.
POTUS thought there was and he had a duty to look into it.
He said what his intent was and that ends it.
Case closed.
