Most shootings aren’t with semi automatic rifles, they’re with handguns. So you take all the rifles and the same # continues…then what?

I’m just bringing attention to the reality of the situation. A criminal in the US can buy an illegal hand for a few hundred dollars, yet cross the border to Canada and that same hand gun is going to cost the same criminal thousands of dollars.
I’m actually fascinated with how easily accessible guns are in the US and how people are legally able to use them to defend themselves from a Perceived threat… 3rd largest county by population in the world, guns everywhere, yet for the most part society there runs pretty smooth.
Still though, feel like the democrats are fighting a good fight to make it harder (more expensive) for criminals to obtain a gun. Semi auto rifles should obviously also be highly restricted, they can just cause to much damage in the wrong hands.

I'm not going to.
Where was this shooting.
I used to live in North Alabama .. Madison .. outside Huntsville.
If you went to the mall there, sometimes you'd come out and
the cars would have bullet holes.
Are you really a child? Don't accept cookies and read in good health))))

Sweet home Alabama, where full auto glocks roam free.
Birmingham AL gave Biden a landslide victory vote in 2020. The crime rate there is celebration. 😀

Sounds kind of like this shooting had nothing to do with honest law abiding citizens owning guns.
Taking guns away from good people is not going to solve this problems. Taking guns away from loose cannons, criminals, and gangs will stop these shootings. We need guns to protect us from criminals and crazy people and of course irate bears that want our food or who have a grudge against people. And it is also good to have a gun to protect ourselves against a pissy skunk that threatens us quite often, and an occasional other wild animal that is hungry or cranky.
Why should everyone suffer because of these bad people who own guns.
How does a gun seller tell the difference between 'good people' and 'bad people'?
How does gun ownership stop someone from being shot at random?

You know the definition of "criminal" right ?
Someone who doesn't obey the law. You can write all the anti gun laws you want, put all the restrictions you want and they'll still ignore it, just like they do now.
Make the punishment so sever they'll be afraid to do it.
But that's not the Democrat way is it ?
Just keep infringing on the Rights of the law abiding citizens and let the real criminals go free.
Seriously? That’s because we have 400 million guns here, there’s no shortage of guns here unlike commie Canada of course black market guns would be cheaper. Not sure what your point is? You’re not making much sense trying to compare the two countries.

Canada is literally on the same land as the US. Yet if you’re in Canada it’ll cost you thousands of dollars to buy an illegal gun, but cross the border into the US and it costs a criminal just a few hundred dollars to buy an illegal gun.
There’s clearly a problem there… how you even going to deny it?

This is very true. Robbery with a firearm….. well drop the weapons charge if you plead guilty to the robbery charge, happens everyday, all day.

The problem here for decades has been prosecutors using the federal mandatory sentencing for use of firearm during crimes as a negotiation tool to get criminals to plead guilty to lessor sentences making a revolving door situation.

Background Checks That's How .
Just Proves they Don't Work on Criminals.

According to one report, the weapons used were modified Glocks that would shoot full auto, which has apparently been a problem in Birmingham as of late. Saw a couple of witness interviews as well, it's definitely gang violence.

Background checks don't stop criminals sending out someone with a clean record, as a buyer.
I mean, how in-depth is it possible for a seller to even go?

I really don't see the point anymore in reporting these incidents.
No one wants to have THE CONVERSATION about the cultural problems this stems from.
It's not normal or acceptable to shoot everything that doesn't go your way!! It's also not normal to hear these stories and as a first thought, you think someone brown probably did it and 95% of the time, you'd probably be right!
That's not normative behavior. Give me a reason not to think that it's either gang related, some groomed and dumped nutjob at a school, or a teenager "who never gets in trouble and is always smiling...he was into sports....he can make you smile toooo..."🙄🥱💤
Why does it seem to always be one of those three?🤷🏻
Yes, and never mind the races divide flamed futher by the Soros/Gates funded MSM

They’re a problem everywhere. In the gang world, if you don’t have a full auto Glock with a hi-cap mag you’re not #.

You can pass all the gun laws you want but they’re not going to fix the broken society we’ve created for ourselves. I’m afraid we’re unfortunately past the point of return to a civilized society in America. It sure doesn’t help we have our friends on the left that are continually stoking the flames of violence like the democrat politicians are doing with their violent rhetoric against Trump calling him a threat.
