So far, neither one of them won with the group of people that matter.

All night, they have been regurgitating and regurgitating their petty talking points that have been stated and restated at nauseam for months and even years. If I didn't know any better I would think I was watching a debate by two members if this message board.

Each of their bases will say that their candidate has won; and for what gain? we already know who their bases will be voting for.

The undecided people are just shaking their heads in discussed over the fact that these people are our choices for president.

In the end I guess they both accomplish what really mattered to them. Trump didn't come off as total unhinged and Harris didn't come of as someone who doesn't have two brain cells to rub together.


I will say this though for Donald Trump; he does do a good job debating with three people.

Low information voters are going to appeal to Harris. She hasn't done too badly overall (better than I thought she would)

Higher information voters are probably mixed. Trump talked some smack (not good), and changed the subject a lot. He would have been better off to answer questions directly, first, and then go off on his diatribe. Best...he would have just left off the diatribe at all.

People have said this debate is everything. My take is this...

1. This is Harris' first public exposure (negative)
2. Trump can't keep from getting ramped up (negative)
3. Harris has nothing to say, policy wise (positive for Trump)
4. Trump had one big win, when Harris accused him of the "Insurrection" on Jan 6th. It took him a moment to get his footing, but he did call in the national guard, and it WAS blocked by Pelosi. That should have been his first response, but he got lost in another self-promo before he said that.
5. Harris looks nice (she's not an unattractive woman...despite her transgressions to rise to power)
6. No one has fallen down and flopped around on the stage like a fish.
7. After an hour...I simply can't take anymore.
8. I'll let ATS tell me rest...I think I'm going to bed.

There’s been a big shift in their numbers since he’s started doing YouTube interviews.

I wouldn’t argue that. He’s done quality interviews with Theo Vaughn and Lex Freidman. Hell, I like those podcasts.

It’s a smart strategy, I just think he loses those gains when he struggles to be calm aside from those.

But, I could be wrong. She’s far from a strong candidate.

I think he could be better if he showed more composure. One of my knocks on him is he didn’t humble himself after winning in 16’. He could have stopped stirring the pot and get people behind him, especially considering the right had most of the government.

I suppose it’s a question on how good he’s at leading. In a company, you can force people to fall in line or fire them. In government, you have control of your cabinet, but not the house or senate.

Am I seeing things or did Trump just rile up Heiress just to bring his own temp back down?
