Yeah, I guess you know better. All those years my parents who fought in WW2 and taught me about the Nazi's I guess I was learning from the wrong people. All those years I studied world history in grade school and high school I was learning the wrong stuff. The history classes I took in college and all the history books I read for the next four decades were wrong. So never mind.

I've said many times here that I am writing in Glen Quagmire for president.

How does a factual reporting of events automatically default to supporting those behind said events anyway? I don't see where I even hinted at my own political leanings in the post you're replying to. I didn't even mention American politics. Hitler despised communists, socialists, Social Democrats and anyone who would be described todays as leftist.
Post WWI he was actually employed as an agent to infiltrate on and report on any left-wing groups. Germany was incredibly fractured and in total disarray with countless radical groups of various political persuasions. Hitler was appointed an 'anti-Bolshevik commando' and in this capacity was assigned the task of evaluating The German Workers Party that was led by Anton Drexler.

The German Workers Party was in fact a far right-wing Nationalist group and Hitler was impressed by the guest speaker and started attending meetings.

The rest as they say is history - real history driven by facts.
Hitler hated all left wing ideologies and persecuted their adherents and supporters all through his reign.
Thousands died in his death camps, in Gestapo cells, in SS raids etc - that is historical FACT.

Anyone who has even a rudimentary knowledge of Hitler and his personal history should know all of this.
The only people who disagree with this are right-wing revisionists who for some reason feel the urge to divorce themselves from Hitler and The Nazi's even though anyone who understands the various ideologies knows that right-wing conservatism has nothing whatsoever to do with fascism and Nazism.
