So here is the clip:

www.themidwesterner.news...

So a drone flew into the stadium during Longview, a crew member comes on stage, and everyone runs off stage for 10 minutes. Drone operator arrested. Show continues.

solid job Detroit PD.

Stellar Job to my sisters/brothers backstage who handled the threat.

Now, will you all go to the Secret Service and teach them your protocol?

Drones flew over the Butler rally, Trump still went on. Guy had a gun, Trump was left on. Trump was shot.

Really, is it this bad that Green Day is better protected than a presidential candidate?

I heard about this this morning.

Are normal drones capable now of being a threat?

Was it just being used to take video?
(loss of revenue of some sort?)

'Are normal drones capable now of being a threat?"

Yes. Lots of normal drones being used to drop IEDs and stuff in Ukraine.

It would seem that President Trumps "SS detail" was largely comprised of Homeland Security Investigation agents instead of standard Secret Service.

Agents that were pulled off other cases like child trafficking and money laundering and given a glitchy 2 hour Zoom presentation on how to protect a President for training.

I'm pretty sure Green Day wouldn't accept that level of incompetence.

Maybe Trump could open up the coin purse to shell out for private security like Green Day does rather than suckling on the government teat.

Candidates for U.S. President are entitled to Secret Service protection.

That's not exactly "suckingling on the government teat" now is it?

Out of curiosity, were you one of those who complained when Trump brought his own people in in 2017?

And besides....I pay for that security with my taxes, why do I have to settle for second best?

Or better yet, why should Trump? Should VP Harris pay for her own when she is campaigning?

He'd be safer using the Proud Boys and Hells Angles for his security detail.

Really!

It's illegal to fly drones over people.

Concert, parades, etc...

You have to get a permit from the FAA.

We had a large Ironman competition here a few months ago. The Sheriff's Office had to get an FAA authorization to fly their drone for surveillance of the route.

There was a guy flying a personal drone around the starting area. He wasn't up to anything nefarious so we just explained how he could get arrested and a huge fine and he happily packed up and went home.

I guess you are too young to remember Butler, Pennsylvania, or Dallas November 22, 1963 when JFK was assassinated. or the day Bobby Kennedy was shot point-blank and killed. This government will kill anyone that gets in their way. Just ask Bill and Hillary Clinton.

I did catch part of a podcast with Nick Irving, aka The Reaper (3rd Ranger Battalion sniper), where he was asked what a 10 man sniper detail. of his caliber or better, would cost for 90 days and what the chances of another assassination attempt being successful or near successful.

$3.4M and a statistically 0% chance. According to Nick, with 10 snipers they could cover 3000 yards of potential firing lanes.

If Amazon can use a drone drop a package, someone could use one to drop a grenade. They're using them in Ukraine.

You would think the SS would use drones to spot potential snipers during candidates campaign stops.
Eyes in the sky, as it were....

When I cover local campaign events as a media geek, I always see a few drones.

Yes. I was 1 at the time Kennedy was shot. You?

What's that got to do with Hells Angels as security?

As in Altamont?
