I keep hearing astroturfing being bandied about and we are just now seeing the individual states' polling catching up to the Harris/Walz switch over from Biden/Harris. I watch any of these podcasts with an ultra-skeptical eye. I did appreciate it was one of the first ive seen with all 50 states polling included.

Include where you are getting your information from and any podcasts you watch, needless to say, Im still skeptical of MSM of all distinctions, it seems virtually bought and paid for

Is there any truth to the rumors the New York Times poll and the Marquette polls are significantly oversampled for the Democrats, thats on top of the rationale that the Democrats always respond to polling better than the Republicans. The Race was expected to tighten up with the withdrawal of Biden and it has. It just goes to show how far behind Biden was, how does an incumbent get so far behind? Harris has made up a lot of ground quickly, the appearance that the campaign is protecting her and Walz, is doing them no favors. Doing an actual press conference would do wonders for the undecided.

Astroturfing
Astroturfing is the deceptive practice of hiding the sponsors of an orchestrated message or organization to make it appear as though it originates from, and is supported by, unsolicited grassroots participants. It is a practice intended to give the statements or organizations credibility by withholding information about the source's financial backers.

Democrats vote on feelz.

Conservatives vote on policy and their wallet.

The Democrats will vote for whoever makes them feel important, while we vote on who will give us a better economy. The Biden/Harris economy has been a complete disaster, with more money going to foreign countries and taking care of illegals than has been spent on American citizens.

The choice is clear, it's just too bad the Left is incapable of critical thinking.

Both sides vote on feels, and they treat their dogma as truth.

Trump and Biden were both disastrous for the economy and country. It’s estimated that 2024 will see $800b~ just in interest payments from the federal spending. That’s more than most expenditures.

Harris doesn’t have a platform, and I’ve noticed I don’t hear anything about bringing down the debt from Trump which was a huge running point on his 2016 campaign. I don’t even see it on his platform for the website.

The sad thing about our state of affairs is we’re at a huge crossroads, and there is no adult in the room.

I’d like to see a poll that showed the percentage of Americans who would say “So and so isn’t my first pick, but I think they’re better than ________”. I’d be willing to bet it’s a vast majority. So that’s where we are, most people don’t even feel like they have a good option. Merely justifying their vote with their disdain of the other side.

FWIW generation X on down is more likely to be influenced by repetitive polling numbers, Hilliary had such a lead they believed what thier respective news sources told them, without question.

Im much more skeptical than I was 25-30 years ago, ie the younger voter is latched on to the polls to a greater degree especially the ones like the New York Times which has been accused of being suspect even by certain Democrats

It's all media theater clicks and views, a tighter more competitive race brings that interest back, from the network's big brand newspapers, and every semi-political Twitter/X account and discord server.

No matter how immoral, unethical, unprincipled, or downright evil they may be.

Talking about polls is like listening to predictions on sports talk radio.

There's a better system.

The 13 keys to the White House, by Allan Lichtman.

www.american.edu...

Using his method, Lichtman has correctly predicted 9 out of 10 of the last presidential elections. He predicted Trump's victory in 2016 and his only missed prediction was due to the recount in Florida during the 2000 election.

He tends to reserve his final predictions after both parties have held their conventions, so expect his official 2024 prediction by August 22nd.

"No matter how..."

Actually those are the qualities they value and seek out.

Polls are almost never right.

I think Harris will win because the liberal media is back to telling lies and covering for the left wing.

And the lemmings are eating it up.

I took a poll in which 100% of respondents said the entire system is rigged and broken.

Number of poll respondents: me

Margin of error: 0%

Harris polled worse than Biden until she became the nominee; in just a couple of weeks she places neck and neck with Trump? Rational thought suggests a strong odor of fish is in the air.

As in 2016 our candidate has been chosen for us; unlike 2016 the loopholes to an accidental win by the Republican party have been closed.

Are Democrat politicians really switching to the Republican party because they're fed up with all the crazieness, or is this a way to infiltrate the Republican party and ensure the liberal dream of a socialist America comes true? Asking for a friend.

Yeah, Ive heard of him.

I seriously doubt many of the younger demographic give a flip, they only listen to thier flavor of persons over 50, for the most part. Secondly, there is this... out of fairness and transparency here's his methodology and 13 points...sounds like barring a complete failure this election is Harris' to lose.

I'd say his views on the

The economy is left-leaning at best

Social unrest? has he seen the protests?

Scandal? stolen valor isn't going away for now

Hell, even the uncharismatic challenger is questionable,
while Im not a DJT fan of his personality traits, there is no doubt his draw for his audience
topped with his politics resonate with a lot of people

LOL he is 100% right about the no-primary contest, though

Think I’ll just give up on the sanity of the USA if somehow Kamala wins. Voting for her would literally be like voting for the school retard. The level of brainwashing to paint Trump as bad is so deep it’s frightening. If there are any Democrats around, could you honestly tell me that you consider Kamala Harris as competent enough for the role of your president - and I mean putting aside your party political bias, which I know is strong?

As I’m from the UK I have no dog in the fight. It’s just curious to me.

I"m not seeing that in any credible news source.
