Turkey’s leader on Sunday threatened military intervention in Israel to stop Jerusalem’s war in Gaza in a significant escalation of rhetoric from NATO’s second-largest military.

In a meeting with his Justice and Development Party (AKP), President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said Turkey "must be very strong so that Israel can't do these ridiculous things to Palestine."

"Just like we entered Karabakh, just like we entered Libya, we might do similar to them," he said, according to a Reuters report.

I was hoping we could get to November

Hopefully cooler heads prevail.

Erdogan praised the Oct attack and has been a vocal supporter and funder of Hamas for the last 20 years though and predates the Fatah-Hamas conflict in Gaza.

Netanyahu also used to support them and helped build the Turkey-Hamas alliance but unlike Erdogan rightly realises they're a terror group these days.

Hamas leadership have all lived in Qatar and Turkey for decades which is what makes the current conflict so tricky (US/NATO/Israel need them as a base for ME operations and security so can't attack them)

Honestly, they’ve been a wildcard for some time.

Erdogan, at best is a dictator lite.

They short down a Russian jet traveling through the smallest sliver of their airspace… without effort to intercept.

They had a military coup attempt, which wasn’t quick by any stretch. There’s a US base with nuclear weapons. While they (assumed) can’t be armed… that’s still a massive risk.

Then they buddied up with many NATO adversaries.

They’re a liability and frankly need to go. I suppose the risk would be kicking out a NATO member state, one with such a large military none the less.

Ok, is that not what Hamas is doing for like decades now? They could stop 1st then. Since they just won't stop it ever, Isael should wipe out all of Hamas and make all the other Arabs leave Gaza forever. They can win it back in the next war.

I'm suggesting that Trump and his side-kick, by their own words, will want to stop the Ukraine war. If that would allow Russia to keep the parts that they hold, which goes against the grain of what any true, freedom-loving American would want, I'll throw my vote away to any independent.
