Trump reveals anti-Christian bias task force; “I will create a new Federal Task Force, fighting anti-Christian bias. Its mission will be to investigate ALL forms of illegal discrimination, harassment and persecution against Christians in America.”

LINK

If this goes through this would be the calm before the storm for Christians.

But this appeals to Christians regardless, it would fight the crazy stuff happening with HR departments everywhere, in regards to the godless woke agenda. Christians won't mind a bulwark created to insulate them from stupidity sent against them.
Even if it is just temporary, a brief reprieve from the insanity.

Wait special treatment for those suffering from abusive society... Hmmm

We should as society protect the most vulnerable from abuse... I guess Christians are lucky that society is evolved enough to profit from that tolerance... Maybe they learn a thing or two...

yea that sound stupid. I would say he is just pandering, but it sounds like something Vance might actually get behind or even thought of himself for the President to sell.

I doubt it would come to fruition as there are already a number of laws and regulations that manage these kinds of cases of harassment and discrimination, they just are not being enforced and outright ignored.

Erm, that is not entirely what Trump said. He went on to include all religions, not just Christians. He is against all religious persecution. He is anti anti religion not for one religion.

Funny how some stop listening when they hear something they think they don't like.

He said he wanted it for ALL religions.

Pretty sure there are already laws in place to take care of this.

He was pandering for votes.

ALL politicians do it. He's no different.

Sounds like a waste of money considering discrimination for religion is illegal and enforced at every level of the government.

Some guys thought of this about 250 years ago. They called it the 1st amendment.

So what happens when religious rights face off against LGBT rights.....who is winning this in 2024?

Some in both groups feel threatened by each other very existence, instead of leaving each group to be free, there will always be some on both sides that just feel they must push and poke that delicate balance of respect of live and let live with freedom of choice in rational matters through the court systems.

We see it all the time at work and in the educational systems in the western world, and it also invading sports as well.

When did people in the LGBT group not have the same rights as others? What rights were they denied?

Already exists, that the problem I see too often today. People have no clue these Rights already exist and are protected.

The Fourteenth Amendment, adopted in 1868, extended religious freedom by preventing states from enacting laws that would advance or inhibit any one religion. Religious Intolerance In the United States

Common Sense, isn't all that common.
More like a superpower.

What needs to happen is, enforcement of existing laws!

🙄

Many gun laws already exist and are not enforced. Does that stop anyone from trying to make new ones?

I think there is a widespread feeling in the Christian community that we are being persecuted, or at least treated poorly.

the problem is that much of this, maybe most, is speech based, and of course free speech is protected.
most of our entertainment seems anti-Christian. The Lord's Name is taken in vain and Hollywood seems proud of that.

but it's wrong to restrict free speech. we can't tell Hollywood to stop portraying Christians so negatively, when portrayed at all. can we tell the tv people not to have so much blood and violence? is the drug culture being glorified in the music business? or is that a myth?
boycotts might bring some change but there is no mechanism for Government to step in.

how can you justify disciplining a university professor who proclaims that Christianity is a lie?

LGBTQ issues are another matter. should our tax dollars be used to celebrate and commemorate morality that many many Christians find to be immoral and unnatural?

I'm pressed to find examples of Government anti-Christian behavior.
I think we have a cultural problem here.

They weren't allowed to marry until 2010. They weren't a protected class until 2014, meaning an employer could deny jobs and fire people based on their sexual orientation or gender identity.

Why aren't Christians rejoicing that they are being persecuted?

According to the good book it's in God's plans for Christians to get persecuted, then they get their heads chopped off, resurrected, then 1000 years of glory.

Being persecuted just means Jesus is drawing nearer.

Being a martyr is good. So just accept it.

Why introduce laws into this matter?
Just turn the other cheek and forgive.
You kinda have to.

Hahaha...yeah true, but that isn't until the "great tribulation" the bible speaks of, no Christian wants it being put on them before the correct time, then yes martyr time for the true believers, it will come soon enough.
