In the United States,
If 49% of the Population is White,
and
13% of the Population is Black,

and you have to hire 100 people, and all of the people you interview are equally qualified,

how many of them should be Black and how many should be White for there to be Equality and Diversity in that group of employees?

There are people who can't understand this.

Some people even think that Diversity is No White people.

It's a very simple Math problem, but some people can't figure this out.

What do you think the answer is?

The thing is, who do you hire when your workforce is, say 70 percent white... Thats sort of where DEI really starts screwing the pooch.

According to the DEI cult I think I’ve figured the hiring priority of some of it. At least the easy parts.

1. Minority female
2. Minority male and white female
3. LGBT white male
4-?
Last place: white straight males
Bonus points for lgbt. Move up one spot or used as a tiebreaker.
Credentials don’t really matter all that much.
Diversity beats merit.
It’s only about color of skin, gender, and who you sleep with.

The answer is hire the most qualified person regardless of race.

For example a business is looking to hire 10 people

If there is no qualified black people the answer is zero.

If they are all qualified for the job and all them are black fantastic they all get hired. The answer is 10.

Only a racist would look at a field of employment and say there isn’t enough people who look like me.

How do those population percentages matter in accordance
to what amount of skin colors apply? All the people that apply
could be white or black. If a hundred black people apply and
are all equally qualified. You just hired a hundred black people.
So what?

Depends on the size of the infrastructure in question and the ability to have appropriate means for Various Teams and Team Leaders who are qualified to manage as aspects of Honest and Ethical Operations For Those Who Qualify as Smoothly and as Cost Effectively with regards to the General Dynamics within the Size and Scale of Complex we're discussing in Theory within the perimeters specified.

I'm shutting my yap now because I'm an idiot and can't I can't do certain types of Math for beans.

Apologies for the sarcasm, it's been a Bear of a Day.

rac·ism
/ˈrāˌsiz(ə)m/
noun
prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism by an individual, community, or institution against a person or people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized.
"a program to combat racism"
Similar:
racial discrimination
racialism
racial prejudice
xenophobia
intolerance
bigotry
chauvinism
fascism
Nazism
apartheid
the belief that different races possess distinct characteristics, abilities, or qualities, especially so as to distinguish them as inferior or superior to one another.
"theories of racism"

DEI is racism. Rather than using a meritocracy to decide things, DEI uses race to determine outcomes. When using race as a factor, and implying that to not factor that in, would harm that group, is using race to deem them inferior. It's frightening that academics either don't see this, or don't see this for what it is. These are supposed to be the smart folks. And they appear to be brain dead.

When DEI dies, the world will be a better place.

The answer is to hire those who are qualified and not to worry about their ethnicity, religion, political beliefs etc.

Cheers

Thw best peep for the job.

This seems like sound business practice hire the best and ‘fitest’ for the job from the widest net you can possibly cast into the pool of candidates.

Sound like natural selection? It should lol.

I guess recruiting any other way would be unnatural?

Where this breaks down is product design/ design in general. Qualified is a really loose term. Sure, I could hire 10 white engineers/designers to work on a project, they'd be qualified, but it'd be a # product. Mainly because different people with different backgrounds bring different experiences and ideas. So if there are 20 qualified candidates and half are black and half are white, how do you propose deciding the mix?

21 of the group should be black if we ignore the 38% are others. Hindu/Chinese/S Americans.

13 if we include 38%.

Yes, it should be who can do the job right.

DO I want many non Asians making Asian food if I am a Chinese chef? Not in places I have eaten. All Asians work in many of the finer Chinese places at least.

I would use the ones that have the right experience for the tasks, and let the chips fall. Doing it any other way will end bad for your company if they can't find people doing the things the way the are going to be most successful. Often business models are a science in themselves. If you want to be Woke and hire by percentages and not by skill set your work has to suffer. Many engineers get a cake walk degree from other nations and our Gov agencies hire them 1st in my observation. They simply have the wrong background to bump some people and while some are truly smart, most are not.

The facts are if you have a marketable skill set it needs to be graded and not your skin color, historical religious background, or who you prefer to fondle in the privacy of your home.

Why would you assume that the 10 white engineers wouldn't have different backgrounds and wouldn't be able to bring different experiences and ideas? Why would you assume that it would be a # product because all 10 of them are white? That is, by literal definition, a racist assumption to make.

If I were hiring someone, I would hire them based on their ability to do a job properly and their ability to get along with the other employees. I discriminate against jerks and people who are lazy and do not feel they have to earn their pay.

If I was an employer in a high black neighborhood of a city, I would hire blacks so the customers would feel more at home in my store or restaurant since most people coming in would be black. I am white but I am also a business person, the customers ideals are important, and I would need to take that into account or I wouldn't be in business long.

Now I would hire a black person to work in a business in a white neighbor hood if their attitude was good and they were polite and friendly to the customers...even if there were some people in that area who were against blacks. But hiring a lot of them would be suicide for the business, a couple out of ten employees is not a problem as long as they are friendly and can do the job.

I never had a black employee, did have a hispanic person working for me though, and he worked all right...but I don't know if I could manage a bunch of hispanics...one was enough...I have known lots of locals who did not trust those of other colors or people from out of the area. I understand their distrust of non-local people though, because lately people come here and rip off people from other areas of the country...color does not make a difference as much as imports in the area.

I am glad I don't have to deal with being an employer in this new woke culture. It is a lose lose situation either way.
