They’d have to find someone who’s an unknown quantity.

People were tired of the status quo and Trump won against Hillary because she was a known quantity and Trump was an unknown.

If the left found someone fresh people might take a gamble. But I don’t see how people would fall in line for a “standard” democrat pick put in at the last minute.

At this point I think it would still be a stretch, but anything is better than running a guy who doesn’t have the gumption to make it through a few hours of public adversity.
