I disagree on Haley. She's just Clinton without the body count.

She's the Establishment tool the Defense Industry wants. They will kill Trump and be happy to have her step in.

He would lose mine and many other people's votes if he picks her.

I'd prefer he picks Tulsi, the establishment hates her too. She's not great but she's at least reasonable. And a good life insurance policy for Trump.

I know people crap on Nikki Haley, she did what dozens of up-and-coming politicians do they join groups like the WEF and follow older politicians McCain, etc. to move along their status in DC. Women especially have to do this.

No more no less. However

Choosing Haley doesn't help expand his voter base like a Tulsi Gabbard selection does, Im not so certain Trump has this "locked up" either.

There are a percentage of his voters that won't vote for him solely on the court cases decisions, fair or unfair.

It's just reality. In a state or 2 it could be enough for him to lose the nomination where before he would have won.

It will be easy enough to tell when we see the results of polls as we get closer and closer

Republican wins: totally fair election

Democrat wins: 😭😭😭 they cheated!

in the 8? what years?

In the last 8 years, there have been 2 elections, Trump's win stunning as it was, is/was a legitimate win.

Biden's election had irregularities not seen before, some states took days to just count the votes, no more no less.

Obviously, a conspiracy site is going to discuss it, right or wrong it's what conspiracy sites do.

Hell in 2000 there were loads of people who wondered about thier dangling "chads" and thought Gore got a raw deal. But ATS was fairly new

I don't recall too much pandemonium over both of Obama's victories either...

In the last 24 years 2 close elections (6 elections total) have been discussed, and not just here on ATS

Taking a trip through the VP hopefuls doesn't leave much hope. I just need a very consensus
candidate that says moderacy will prevail behind the window dressing of making America great. I just threw out Haley because her Margaret Thatcher quote about face made me wonder.

Tulsi is the best of the lot though. Better than Noem and Old Yeller. And better than any other overly conservative candidate. Like if they start a speech saying, "God has called upon the moral and righteous to take back America." Please don't pick them. I'd more prefer a "Liberty has called upon the patriotic and freedom loving to take back America"

You might say "same thing, God is country," but I think there is an important difference between them.

Or omit God altogether, like the constitution, sans the standard "God Bless America" to cap off a speech.

The former of those options is gonna feel like the V for Vendetta government is going to take over and I'm going to have to write a memoir on toilet paper.

Not trying to convince you WIB, or anybody else for that matter.

Write-ins really? LOL

I don't talk RFKjr except in the context of his effect on the the other two candidates because he has no chance in hell in the 2 party-dominated system.

You are pushing the worst-case scenario

I know lots of people in South Carolina, most everyone appreciated Haley's governorship, even the left praised her sometimes. LIke a leader is supposed to do.

DC is such a you scratch my back I'll scratch yours, world, it's not easy for a Republican woman, double standards exist

I think Nikki Haley is more likely than Gabbard, but as we have seen here she doesn't enhance the ticket

I'm a huge Tulsi Gabbard fan, so for me she is a no-brainer.

But Im not hung up on every GD opinion a candidate has either.

I look for intelligence, integrity, leadership, and a love for basic American ideals. Trump only has the last one, which beats BIden's 0-4

but a Vice President's first and most important job is to enhance the party's ticket so they can win the General Election, after that thier influence and usefulness are extremely debatable

Not voting for a Presidential candidate because of who they selected as VP candidate is cutting off your nose despite your face

I still dig this site... I suggest everybody take the quiz be honest and post who they are most aligned with...

I want to point out something to ya. Remember in 2016 when everyone went to bed think Hillary won then woke up to find out otherwise? Then fast-forward to 2020 and essentially the exact opposite happened and you guys screamed stolen election and wide spread voter fraud. You don't find that at all suspicious? Or was it fair then b7t not fair later? Explain these hoops you seem to jump through.

I have also wondered about these what if scenarios as well.

Disclaimer :” I do not condone violence and I am vehemently opposed to any civil war in the USA or violent uprising or insurrection.

Take a look around you and look at the physical state of your neighbors, co-workers and the general population.
There are people I work with that can’t even climb a flight of stairs and are hundreds of pounds overweight.
Do you honestly think these people could pick up an AR-15 and start stacking up to barrel down doors yelling “ suppressing fire! Frag out!”
Most would vomit and pass out from dehydration and exhaustion in the first day,
This is why I never think there will be a hot war in the USA. Americans are too fat and obese. 50% of the population is obese now.

If voting doesn’t work since it’s all rigged there is one solution I can think of for a United populace to do that could really work but it would take everyone being United and not being a snitch or bitching out

If one half of the country was pissed they could all decided to jack their W-4 exemptions to 99 if they are W-2 workers and literally starve the beast. That would be an immediate impact on the treasury with 50% less federal income taxes coming in. And what is the IRS going to do? Arrest 170 million Americans at once for income tax evasion? It could work if the people were United and stuck to the plans until demands were met.

It’s how our country started with the Boston Tea Party
I can’t think of anything more peaceful and American.

Hey man this is America it's OK to have a different opinion

Secondly, you are oversimplifying the irregularities in 2020 compared to 2016.

It took days in 2020 to get accurate totals in some states in 2016 not so much.

Secondly, that spike in totals in the early morning hours never happened in 2016, as it did in 2020.

As far as people questioning the legitimacy of the 2016 election I'd point out...

en.wikipedia.org...

On January 6, 2017, the United States Intelligence Community concluded that the Russian government had interfered in the 2016 elections[26][27] in order to "undermine public faith in the U.S. democratic process, denigrate Secretary Clinton, and harm her electability and potential presidency."[28] A Special Counsel investigation of alleged collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign began in May 2017[29][30] and ended in March 2019. The investigation concluded that Russian interference to favor Trump's candidacy occurred "in a sweeping and systematic fashion", but it "did not establish that members of the Trump campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government."[31][32]

in conclusion, you are simply wrong both elections were criticized and disputed.

But don't take my word for it

Claude AI sums it up nicely, don't you think

claude.ai...

The 2016 U.S. presidential election was highly controversial and disputed by many, especially from the Democratic Party and supporters of Hillary Clinton. Here are some key points about the disputes around that election:

There were allegations of Russian interference through hacking and disinformation campaigns intended to harm Clinton and boost Donald Trump's candidacy. U.S. intelligence agencies concluded that Russia carried out such interference efforts.
Hillary Clinton's campaign disputed the legitimacy of Trump's victory, citing the Russian interference as well as James Comey's last-minute letter about the emails investigation. Clinton has said Trump is an "illegitimate president."
The Clinton campaign also raised issues with voter suppression efforts like voter ID laws that they claimed disenfranchised many minority voters who leaned Democratic.
Trump claimed, without evidence, that there was widespread voter fraud through millions of illegal votes cast, which independent observers dismissed as false.
There were recounts requested by Green Party candidate Jill Stein in several swing states like Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania, but these did not change the final results.
Protesters took to the streets after the election claiming "Not My President" and disputing Trump's legitimacy as president-elect.

So while Trump was officially certified as the presidential election winner, his victory remained hotly disputed by Democrats who raised significant doubts about the integrity of the election process itself. The disputes reflected the highly polarized political climate around the 2016 race.

Yet another way they are trying to kill us. Dont even get me started on this crap. They want us to think obesity is fine and you should be body positive. Propping up people like Lizzo and now Alabama's new "Miss Alabama". Our government wants to kill us and the medical industry doesnt want us healthy for sure. Its not in their best interest.

I see it like this:

She is blatantly corrupt.

If he picks Haley, that shows he's either more of an idiot than we thought, or they finally compromised him. Either way he would not be worthy of my vote.

It would also show that the establishment won and the collapse is imminent. There would be no ending the wars and spending, no reducing the size of government, and the economy is already on the way to imploding unless those things happen.

Wikipedia is just an awful, awful, source. Sorry, but it is.

I've been researching Wikipedia lately and it's gotten way worse than it used to be. It is being heavily edited to a left slant. It always was left leaning, but there used to be some who were willing to demand NPOV. Anymore, the left bias just overwhelms the NPOV at every turn.

If you want to see countless examples, just pick a representative sample of democratic AND republican candidates, congress persons or senators and review the Wikipedia articles on each of them. On the republican side it is just a laundry list of negative stuff, and on the democrat side it's all sunshine and unicorns. It's pretty amazing.

Wikipedia was never really a good source just because of the nature of how it evolves, but now it has gone way over the top with left bias. It used to be decent to grab a couple quick facts for orientation, but now practically every single article is either heavily biased or obfuscated into oblivion with self-appointed 'academics' trying to one-up each other and look smarter. It's really not even readable anymore.

It's amazing how many people forget about the world changing power of holding hands, drum circles, and singing kumbaya. If we just get enough people together to hold hands with then all the powers that be will simply give up and the world will become a utopia.

Man FCD, this is why I hate this place now.

Here is the Wikipedia quote broken down easily now which of these didn't occur?

You have to remember I was responding to the poster that suggested everyone on ATS was pissy about the 2020 Election but nobody questioned the 2016 election. No more No Less

It was patently false that the 2016 election was questioned over and over again, even on ATS by those sympathetic to Clinton

Of course, they were wrong but it just took them 3 years to partially come to that conclusion.

REMEMBER this is what the US intelligence community said occurred

No More No less

On January 6, 2017, the United States Intelligence Community concluded that the Russian government had interfered in the 2016 elections[26][27]

TRUE

in order to "undermine public faith in the U.S. democratic process, denigrate Secretary Clinton, and harm her electability and potential presidency."[28]

TRUE this is what they said

A Special Counsel investigation of alleged collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign began in May 2017[29][30] and ended in March 2019.

TRUE and it took them this long to stop paying to try and find a connection

The investigation concluded that Russian interference to favor Trump's candidacy occurred "in a sweeping and systematic fashion",

This is the only part that's questionable obviously

but it "did not establish that members of the Trump campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government."[31][32]

TRUE

Respectfully you should know me better than that.

I see it like this you can vote however you want to vote

But

If 5,000 to 10,000 people in your state feel the same as you do, and it shifts the state to blue don't bitch about 4 more years of Biden.

Depending on your state obviously.

In my state, the difference was approximately 12,000 margin of victory for Biden.

Id prefer

Kennedy/Shanahan though it isn't going to happen

then

Trump and whoever

then

Biden/Harris

An easy answer is that there is not going to be a civil war again in America.

Instead it collapses (by design, if you have done the research) and there will no longer be a Federal Government.

The USA divides itself into 6-7 different Statehoods .

And we go from there.

See.... Rome, USSR, etc.

It's just an economic thing.

This is correct.

It's going to have to get a whole lot worse than this before it will come to any sort of armed conflict inside the borders of America, despite the wringing of hands and gnashing of teeth to the contrary. Sadly, I think your projections are correct, and once it gets to that stage any sort of hope for turn around is non-existent.

edit - Plus, there is no central/common issue (other than government corruption). So, when viewed from that perspective, it wouldn't be a "civil war" anyway. It would really be more of a "coup d'é·tat" rather than a civil war.
