I got to the conclusion where he says the right is like a military force who has fewer resources and can't make a frontal assault because they will
lose.
What happened was, people stopped praying. The most comprehensive solution is to start praying or meditating again.
If Lind is not missing the point of some of the Marxist activity, then he is not letting on. He quotes:
[Herbert Marcuse's] book “Eros and Civilization” used the Frankfurt School’s crossing of Marx with Freud to argue that if we would only
“liberate non-procreative eros” through “polymorphous perversity,” we could create a new paradise where there would be only play and no work.
“Eros and Civilization” became one of the main texts of the New Left in the 1960s.
What seems to be going unnoticed or unspoken, I don't know which, is they want "non-procreative eros" in order to share other peoples' smarts through
the resulting rapport of sin.
The notion is older than history and does not date back to Karl Marx in the 1800s. Recall what the Sodomites said to Lot in Genesis 19:4-5.
People used to pray to be saved from it. Ancient Rome may have fallen when enough of the slaves became Christian or perhaps Buddhist. There are
occasional small Buddhist artefacts found in the ancient Mediterranean world.
The working classes knew they needed the management and ruling classes so long as the managers and rulers prayed. But if they don't, then the working
classes can hope to fake being managers and rulers by forming sinful rapports with those who are able.
So, whether prayer or mindfulness, metta, tonglen, love with equanimity, and forgiveness, the only thing which will work is to start to pray again.
