I can only imagine if the NG was there and pushed back forcefully. ATS has branded the cops that were there, "thugs", "traitors", "they caused the "patriots" to become violent", and of course referencing a black officer as a "gorilla". I can only imagine how ATS would feel about a response to those that broke the windows and doors so they could "tour" the Capitol.
So, it's interesting that there is outrage that the NG wasn't there. You feel there should have been a larger presence to put down the "Patriots"? Even though you denigrate the LEO that were there? And before anyone screeches that it really wasn't "Patriots" committing crimes, feel free to browse any of their own comments in their trials, or their own social media before and after the event.
And once again people claim "agitators" made them do it, each individual is responsible for their own actions, no one can make you commit a crime at the heart of our nation.

But McCarthy was fielding calls from reporters and lawmakers including Schumer (a terrible actor btw) and Pelosi. He oddly was with DC Mayor Muriel Bowser prepping for a press conference that afternoon.
He finally authorized use of guardsmen after 5pm—most of the violence had ended by then. Joe Biden had already declared the protest an “insurrection.” This new spin is
