Not to be cynical and depressing about this, but how rotted are their corpses by now?

Hamas doesn't really have a track record for humility like Israel does. Despite what people want to believe Israel feeds captives and prisoners and gives them running water. Even if they embargo some terrorist state of neither on the form of aid.

The hostage stories are disturbing. The ACTUAL war crimes at a non-bias ICC or UN are those.

I think its more lkely Hamas is perpetuating the idea they still have hostages alive, because there nothing to negotiate with otherwise.

I think the demands should be shifted to disclosure of their actual condition first.

That's a euphemism to temper expectation. Hamas are vile, and the conditions and treatment of their prisoners are like Auschwitz with rape.

Do you really think that a President talking to other world leaders to promote peace and prevent war, while giving no money etc. is the same as negotiation with a terrorist organization to exchange cash, weapons for kidnapped citizens is the same thing?

I goto the Philippines a lot. My wife is Philippine. The criminal organizations target Germans, Chinese etc because the governments will pay money. They mostly leave US citizens alone unless they are rich enough to personally pay a ransom or the person does something very stupid and pisses someone off.

If you promote cash for kidnapped citizens you will endanger US citizens. That is not hyperbole it is simple fact of a very corrupt, sad world.
