A new report states that Biden is considering going around Israel if it doesn't accept the latest crappy cease fire proposal, and negotiating directly with Hamas for the release of the five American hostages believed to be still alive in captivity.

Negotiating directly with the terrorists. Giving them something. Considering that Hamas always asks for the moon from Israel in these negotiations, we can only imagine what Hamas would say they want. Demands for America to stop arming our ally Israel? Demands for America to denounce Israel and call for it's destruction? (that's Hamas' ultimate goal). Demands for lots and lots of money? Demands for America to rebuild that sh!thole Gaza?

If Hama got any of that, then they would have won. What needs to happen is Hamas needs to have it's ass kicked until it is destroyed, or until they surrender and lay down their arms, while at the same time giving up the hostages. Otherwise, the rule of law is undermined and terrorism is shown to be stronger than civilized society and rule of law. It would encourage more terrorism.

It has been firm US policy since 1985 and Ronald Reagan that America does not negotiate with terrorists. For Biden to negotiate with Hamas would be direct opposition to US policy for the past 40 years. Although it could be argued that Obama did in fact approve of negotiating with terrorists and probably did so through back channels.

Report - Biden Considering Going Around Israel and Negotiating Directly With Hamas for Release of US Hostages

President Biden's administration has held discussions about potentially negotiating with Hamas for the release of American hostages in Gaza, skirting around Israel's involvement, according to a new report.

Such discussions would only begin if the current cease-fire talks between Israel and Hamas break down, NBC News reported. U.S. representatives would negotiate with Hamas through Qatari representatives, much as Israel's own discussions have been taking place.

The U.S. believes there are five American citizens who were taken hostage by Hamas during its attack on Israel on Oct. 7. The U.S. is also seeking the remains of three U.S. citizens who were killed on that day. The U.S. has cautioned that it is unclear whether or how many of the hostages taken on Oct. 7 are still alive.

Oh, how quickly we forget.

North Korea is, and has been, on our list of State Sponsors of Terrorism for a long time.

And DJT and Jong Un wrote what he called "love letters" to each other. They met and shook hands.

I'd venture to guess some readers here on ATS, as they are starring and flagging you, have that commemorative coin in the same room with them, as a reminder of how we negotiate with terrorists.

I say bring the Americans back... if Netanyahu is only concerned about himself and doesn't care about Israeli or any other hostages, then we have to take care of our own. We can't depend on him, or his government, to do what they haven't done for months now. American lives are more important than some foreign politician's career.

So Biden is willing to negotiate with terrorists for only 5 of the 100+ hostages Hamas still has? Beau Bergdahl comes to mind.....

That was state level discussions between two countries to try to bring about de escalation of a nuclear situation. Kinda different.

Yeah ... that exchange was bad for us ... only this time it would be so much worse. We have all seen the demands Hamas has with Israel ... promising to give up 40 hostages for the release of a thousand Hamas who are in Israeli jails.

Very different.

It's ok to negotiate with terrorists when no American lives are in immediate danger.

It is NOT ok to negotiate with terrorists when American lives ARE in danger.

Do you really believe that?

Sure, lets go further down that rabbit hole shall we? Biden funded 10/7 by giving money to Iran... the worlds LARGEST state sponsor of terrorism. As usual, anything Trump can do Biden can do worse. Feel free to point out where Trump gave a penny to SK.

That too! I spaced the release of Taliban leaders.

How many American hostages was KJ Un holding?....Did we send in truckloads of food aid for all the starving citizens in N. Korea after they invaded S. Korea, murdered citizens and took hostages? I forget....but yeah, Trump 'negotiated' with terrorists. For peace. That a--hole!

He'll probably appoint Tlaib to head the negotiations.

It would be consistent after he and Obama appointed Iranian spies to negotiate the Iran nuke deal for us.

So, you don’t believe Trump had the right to talk to the leaders of other countries? Or was he only supposed to deal with friendly leaders? Not understanding your point at all. The bad guys were as afraid of him, as your fellow Democrats are.

Buckle up, he’s almost surely going to be our next president unless they kill him first.

40 hostages for 1000 terrorists.

That ratio isn’t that far off the butt kicking Palestinians are getting for the sh!t they pulled on October 7th.

But it seems that only Israel is supposed to be “fair and measured”.

How about getting 5 of those Pro Hamas protestors to volunteer to take the place of the hostages ?

Seems fair to me.

This is dumb. All of those hostages have been killed by Hamas already. This is a fools errand.

Looks like this won't be necessary.

Breaking news that the UN has adopted a US backed resolution for a complete cease-fire in Gaza and a return of all hostages. The United Nations Security Council voted 14 to 0 to pass the resolution.

This is the plan Biden has been pushing and Netanyahu always backs away from. It's now backed by all the major world players. And Bibi is backed into a corner.
