The scientific community largely agrees that climate change is predominantly caused by human activities. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) estimates the likelihood that climate change is primarily due to human activities to be over 95%. This assessment is based on extensive studies and models that examine the effects of human activities, such as the burning of fossil fuels, deforestation, and industrial processes, on global temperature and climate.

yeahbut the problem is they can't conclusively prove anything 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

They go by stories like this.

They can't keep the water back anymore, and this is the first of MANY Panamanian islands that are to be voluntarily evacuated.

The sea level rise is hard to dispute.

My dispute is the anthropogenic way we caused it to happen. We caused the melt off more recently.

I think, in a twisted Irony, our recognition of our hands in climate change brought on the actions which actually accelerated it.

I know the sulfur from coal smog killed trees, but had they not selectively filtered the emissions they might not have thrown wacky concentrations of greenhouse vs. aerosols into the atmosphere for over 50 years running now.

So basically to save trees and people's lungs from adjacent burning coal, they attacked almost ALL aerosols, and a large portion of greenhouse gasses.

Then, you can line up a seemingly exponential acceleration starting pricely with the imposition of EPA exhaust regulations. The aggressive reduction in aerosols is coorlative to the rise in temperature. It lines up so well you can single out the mandating of CATALYTIC CONVERTORS as the most likely 'accelerant." In recent times that's become more pronounced. Almost ZERO aerosols are now released, meaning no matter how little greenhouse emissions they reduce it to, they are still adding to the already askew atmospheric concentrations. No matter how you attack it through regulation you just add to the problem that exists until you address the other loss of albedo.

It's getting to the point where purposely releasing aerosols in the upper atmosphere will be the ONLY way to stop this greenhouse imbalance. If it's about albedo, there's easier ways to do that. Like a single Mt. Tambora. Perhaps engineered volcanic cooling is an answer to climate change. Because all our effort combined amount to an engineered greenhouse effect as things stand now.

No one likes this explanation though, pro and con alike.

Pmsl, is that "We used to dream of..." line from a monty python sketch, same as the "You lucky lucky bastard" guy? Makes me chuckle every time you use it and I'm sure it's an old Brit comedy!🤣

On topic, I hope all the doom porn of the gulf stream etc doesn't happen suddenly like say winter 2030, anything after 2043 and I'll be happy...only because if I'm alive then I'll have broken all records of males in my recorded family history - I'll be 70!!🤣

I wear my southern softie badge with feelings of luck, when I compare my annual heating bills to family and friends 'up Norf'

My heating bills are fine.....I'd dread to pay my neighbours bill though!

We have Economy 7 heating and a log burner so if it gets a bit chilly we can just throw another peasant on the fire.

The English Channel would freeze..

I now have a picture stuck in my head of all those seeking illegal entry into our country skating across The North Sea.....people from those regions aren't exactly renowned for ice skating are they.

The cultural upheaval in Newcastle would be horrific....imagine all those Toon Army boys having to put their shirts on in winter.

About the only attire that would stay the same will be Mother's on the morning school run; slippers, leggings, dressing gown, Greggs coffee and a cigarette.

Of course there is still snow on the mountains in Northern Scotland. There is still snow on the mountains in Northern California and that's more than 15 degrees further South. I have been backpacking many times in the Sierra Nevada mountains and the Trinity Alps in California in the middle of summer and encountered snow fields on the North-facing slopes.

Northern Scotland is approximately the same latitude as Juneau, Alaska, and there are year-round glaciers there.

You're making vast pronouncements based on half-vast knowledge.

Tuesday and Wednesday in northern Scotland we has massive hail stones and people walking around dressed for winter , including wooly hats and temperature of minus 10 C not far away in the cairngorm mountains, the last few years it has been almost total cloud cover when it is supposed to be summer , looking out my window it looks like a October day and is freezing cold , I do not ever remember that in my near 60 years on the planet .

When I was a kid we welcomed the odd thunderstorm over the summer to water the garden as it was the only rain that fell during the school holidays, now days we are lucky to get 2 days in a row of decent weather

more than just a few scientists have been proven to be liars time and time again, especially when getting paid or there's big money to be made. they've even been proven wrong when they weren't being paid.

one example is how some scientists were paid by big sugar companies to lie about the harm sugar can cause and blame fat.
there are more examples out there.

They seem to love certain people , a hundred midges in a room and 99 would be around me and one confused one would be flying between me and my friend .

Years ago in the great Glen we were doing a renovation of a house and I had to stand with a towel in ne hand and a tee shirt in the other as a painter did the garage door and a kitchen door they were that bad .

When we turned up the next morning you could not see the colour on the doors for the dead insects stuck to it ikyn

there are black sheep in every group, everywhere, in every corner. we're talking about a few out of hundreds of thousands of scientists. thats not really an argument.

oh look a cartoon youtube video for the sheep that believe those scientists who are being paid by people with a agenda.
that there is some fine proof.

there used to be sites that had historical records going back to the early 1900 to the early 2000's for the area i live in.
there never was a temp variation during winter or summer of no more than of +/- 4 to 10 degrees.

now the earliest ones i can find start at 1949, to 2024 all the rest are gone (more than likely scrubbed) and the average is still the same. that's 75 years of constant temperature well with in the time frame they give for the global warming / climate change at a airport no less with all that asphalt and concrete that retains heat. also if you notice there are 19 years of over 100 degres scattered through all 74 years with the highest happening in 1980 at 106, that there is constant weather, not global warming/ claimate change

another thing, our shore line is where it has always been in my 62 years of life, if sea rise is supposed to have happened during global warming / climate change's time frame it sure isn't here.

here's the one from the airport,

Highest Temperatures in Pensacola by Year

here is another that list both highest and lowest, same deal as the one above from the airport. the variation is still the same. well a couple of years it got colder. than the year before.

Pensacola - Lowest Temperature for Each Year

97 percent of climate scientist agreeing is NOTHING when you determine the ACTUAL AMOUNT of those specific scientist on the planet. Its less than 10 percent of all scientist.
