The leader of Democrats in America has approved another of his personal appointee's ideas. Joe Biden endorses "Menstrual Hygiene Day" for the United States, as formulated by his Depart of Labor boss, Ms. JULIE SU.

I obviously don't menstruate lol, but I grew up with a twin sister, and when she started, that was when we knew our different sexes REALLY meant something.

I can only speak for the UK of course, but there is zero need for extra awareness, visibility, or celebration of menstruation.

There IS a very real need for vastly discounted or free menstrual products for women and girls who struggle due to the cost of this basic female human need.

If ANY taxes are to be spent on menstruations then it should be on making the products easily and cheaply accessible...not some pseudo period pride day ffs!

The European Union still impose a 5% sanitary products tax (on tampons, pads, etc), I'm pleased to say the UK abolished this tax in 2021 almost as soon as we left their #ty communist union.

Reading up, this was started by a German NGO. More aimed at the cultures still upholding the Leviticus 15:19 standard. Where we all get demonically overcome and need to be locked in a shed for 7 days. Or more directly, in places without sanitary products, or where girls still stay home out of either inability to manage menstruation, or health problems resulting from lack of hygienic standard. (staph infections/TSS).

This isn't a Biden thing, but Biden will adopt it if it panders to progressive humanitarian things, and DEFINITELY movements that empower women to not feel stigmatized by outdated views.

There used to be a thing called decorum. People used to value manners. Some subjects were considered private, some for adult audiences. This 'anything goes' goes against my ancient grain.

I just read the article, and # me the world is truly getting nuts, it goes on about "menstruators" and "birthing people" actually being the formal terms in government documents!

The hopeful side of me thinks this is just bull# terms for 'the feels' of the tiny minority gender dysphoria folk...but the conspiratorial side of me thinks of newspeak and 1984!😱

Strange for this new holiday to come from the group that believes in abortion-on-demand, right up to month #9.
