What happened shortly after that?

Does "the word of God" say "And then it was very bad"?
Do you think The Serpent defiled God's good creation and turn it "not good"? Did The Serpent confound God's will, and turn what God create "good" bad?

When sin and death entered the world through man it was no longer good.

Satan confounded nothing but took advantage of man’s free will, causing us to loose it, and left us slaves to sin.

Which is it necessary to do, teach a child to do bad or do good? One of those traits comes naturally,

Christianity was based on the KJV of the Bible; ...:

Nope.

Christianity was based on Jesus and His teachings and commandments, not on any bible. There was no bible until 397AD. The bible was invented by Catholic men at the Catholic Council of Carthage in 397AD. The King James version happened 1611 AD.

If that's true how come when you take away all the rules and regulations anarchy prevails and survival of the fittest becomes the colour of the day?

Some may argue that Christianity is based on the religious and philosophical traditions that preceded and surrounded its inception.

It depends which way the question is approached I would assume. Good and bad is a perspective thing and to a lesser extent perception, for instance killing is bad but it can be construed as good if you're killing a mass murderer engaging in a massacre.

The power of higher thinking...

Good and bad are perfectly normal, looking at the rest of the animals it would be higher thinking that's considered abnormal since it's higher thinking that offers the most divergence when it comes to "group think" regarding culture and mortality.

I can't really think of any other species that's incompatible due to morality. If ants kill each other it's because the don't smell right, for humans it's usually based on some sense of morality.

I do understand you're talking religion... Just pointing out that looking at the world and gleaning knowledge about 'natural' might be highly inaccurate when the lens is a human one, especially a religious one.

But what does God say about it (in his Word, the Bible a.k.a. God's Word)? (oh sorry, you beat me to it in the OP, but at least this is a different translation with some footnotes + the next verse)

Jeremiah 17:9,10

9 The heart is more treacherous* [Or “deceitful.”] than anything else and is desperate.* [Or possibly, “incurable.”]

Who can know it?

10 I, Jehovah, am searching the heart,

Examining the innermost thoughts,* [Or “deepest emotions.” Lit., “kidneys.”]

To give to each one according to his ways,

According to the fruitage of his works.

When our heart intensely desires something, do we not find reasons for carrying out its intentions?

The Scriptures warn us: “Out of the heart come wicked reasonings, murders, adulteries, fornications, thieveries, false testimonies, blasphemies.” (Matt. 15:19) Our figurative heart can betray us and lead us to justify a course of action that is contrary to God’s will. And we may not realize what has happened until after we have acted unwisely. What can help us to identify the intentions of our heart before we take a wrong course?

Read the Bible daily and meditate on what it says.

“The word of God is alive and exerts power and is sharper than any two-edged sword and pierces even to the dividing of soul and spirit,” wrote the apostle Paul. God’s message found in the Bible “is able to discern thoughts and intentions of the heart.” (Heb. 4:12) Seeing ourselves in the light of what the Scriptures say can indeed be a powerful aid in identifying the intentions of the heart.

Accepting Scriptural counsel and applying Bible principles will have an effect on our conscience—the inner faculty that “bears witness.” (Rom. 9:1) The voice of our conscience can prevent us from justifying a wrong course. Additionally, the Bible contains examples that can serve as “a warning to us.” (1 Cor. 10:11) Learning from them can prevent us from taking a step in the wrong direction. What should each of us do?

Pray to God to help you identify the intentions of your heart.

Jehovah is “an examiner of the heart.” (1 Chron. 29:17) He “is greater than our hearts and knows all things.” (1 John 3:20) God cannot be deceived. If we openly express our concerns, feelings, and desires in prayer, Jehovah can help us to discern the intentions of our heart. We can even ask God to ‘create in us a pure heart.’ (Ps. 51:10) In identifying the leanings of our heart, therefore, the provision of prayer is not to be overlooked.

If we have fallen victim to the leanings of a treacherous heart and have become accustomed to justifying wrong behavior, we can make changes. (Eph. 4:22-24) We need to be honest with ourselves and identify the intentions of our heart. As we do so, we should seek Jehovah’s help in prayer, remembering that “he is aware of the secrets of the heart.” (Ps. 44:21) God has also provided his Word, which can serve as a mirror for us. (Jas. 1:22-25)

James 1:19-26

Know this, my beloved brothers: Everyone must be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger, 20 for man’s anger does not bring about God’s righteousness. 21 Therefore, put away all filthiness and every trace of badness,* [Or possibly, “and the abundance of badness.”] and accept with mildness the implanting of the word that is able to save you.* [Or “your souls.”]

22 However, become doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves with false reasoning. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, this one is like a man looking at his own face in a mirror. 24 For he looks at himself, and he goes away and immediately forgets what sort of person he is. 25 But the one who peers into the perfect law that belongs to freedom and continues in it has become, not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work; and he will be happy in what he does.

26 If any man thinks he is a worshipper of God* [Or “is religious.”] but does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he is deceiving his own heart, and his worship is futile.

Evolution of thought? Poor choice of words on my part I'm sure...

It would have to be unless some deity offered completely new thoughts and perspectives. The evidence points to the opposite. We have human brains that translate information into a human-centric form. In other words we all think nearly the same.

Can't really get around that hurdle without things becoming incompatible.

Consider neuro-divergency and the problems with communication... That's the same species so imagine what it would be like to attempt to absorb something truly new like a god giving morality or an elephant giving tips on finding the tasty leaves. There needs to be a basis, a foundation to work on.

“We are all fundamentally good. ... says Pope Francis.

And what did Jesus say about that when someone called him "good"? “Why do you call me good? Nobody is good except one, God.” (Mark 10:18)

Also incidentally showing that he (Jesus) is not the God he's talking about there. Contradicting what the Catholic Church has taught about Jesus for centuries by means of the Trinity doctrine.

Trinity Doctrine, A False Teaching Of Man, Council of Nicaea

According to the Nouveau Dictionnaire Universel, “The Platonic trinity, itself merely a rearrangement of older trinities dating back to earlier peoples, appears to be the rational philosophic trinity of attributes that gave birth to the three hypostases or divine persons taught by the Christian churches. . . . This Greek philosopher’s [Plato, fourth century B.C.E.] conception of the divine trinity . . . can be found in all the ancient [pagan] religions.”—(Paris, 1865-1870), edited by M. Lachâtre, Vol. 2, p. 1467.

The New Catholic Encyclopedia states: “The formulation ‘one God in three Persons’ was not solidly established, certainly not fully assimilated into Christian life and its profession of faith, prior to the end of the 4th century. But it is precisely this formulation that has first claim to the title the Trinitarian dogma. Among the Apostolic Fathers, there had been nothing even remotely approaching such a mentality or perspective.”—(1967), Vol. XIV, p. 299.

In The Encyclopedia Americana we read: “Christianity derived from Judaism and Judaism was strictly Unitarian [believing that God is one person]. The road which led from Jerusalem to Nicea was scarcely a straight one. Fourth century Trinitarianism did not reflect accurately early Christian teaching regarding the nature of God; it was, on the contrary, a deviation from this teaching.”—(1956), Vol. XXVII, p. 294L.

Oh, hey. No worries. I appreciate you not getting defensive.

I was taught that there are some texts not included in the Bible about how a Created Being dared call God by His True Name, and it did not end well for them. The Created Being was rebellious and did not honor God, but spoke out of impudence.

As such, I'm the sort to not address Him in a casual manner.

Jesus is different though, he's my homeboy.

I can appreciate that. And never would anyone want to approach Jehovah as if he was an equal, or show a lack of reverential respect for his Godship. When I read your words my mind immediately ran to the prayer of Daniel. Notice how he starts his prayer. I was actually going to just quote the beginning of the prayer, but although it is a little long notice the entire prayer, and notice how many times Daniel uses the proper name of Jehovah:

"So I turned my face to Jehovah the true God, entreating him in prayer, along with fasting and sackcloth and ashes. I prayed to Jehovah my God and made confession and said:

“O Jehovah the true God, the great and awe-inspiring One, who keeps his covenant and shows loyal love to those who love him and keep his commandments, we have sinned and done wrong and acted wickedly and rebelled; and we have deviated from your commandments and your judgments. We have not listened to your servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to our kings, our princes, our forefathers, and all the people of the land. To you, O Jehovah, belongs righteousness, but to us belongs shame as is the case today, to the men of Judah, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and all Israel, those nearby and far away, in all the lands to which you dispersed them because they acted unfaithfully toward you.

“O Jehovah, to us belongs shame, to our kings, our princes, and our forefathers, because we have sinned against you.

To Jehovah our God belong mercy and forgiveness, for we have rebelled against him. We have not obeyed the voice of Jehovah our God by following his laws that he set before us through his servants the prophets. All Israel has overstepped your Law and turned away by not obeying your voice, so that you poured out on us the curse and the sworn oath written about in the Law of Moses the servant of the true God, for we have sinned against Him. He has carried out his words that he spoke against us and against our rulers who ruled over us, by bringing great calamity on us; nothing has ever been done under the whole heavens such as what was done in Jerusalem. Just as it is written in the Law of Moses, all this calamity has come upon us, yet we have not begged for the favor of Jehovah our God by turning away from our error and by showing insight into your truth.

“So Jehovah kept watchful and brought calamity on us, for Jehovah our God is righteous in all the works that he has done; yet we have not obeyed his voice.

“Now, O Jehovah our God, the One who brought your people out of the land of Egypt by a mighty hand and made a name for yourself down to this day, we have sinned and acted wickedly. O Jehovah, according to all your righteous acts, please, may your anger and wrath turn away from your city Jerusalem, your holy mountain; for because of our sins and the errors of our forefathers, Jerusalem and your people are an object of reproach to all those around us. And now listen, O our God, to the prayer of your servant and to his entreaties, and cause your face to shine upon your sanctuary that is desolate, for your own sake, O Jehovah. Incline your ear, O my God, and hear! Do open your eyes and see our desolate condition and the city that has been called by your name; for we are not entreating you because of our righteous acts but because of your great mercy. O Jehovah, do hear. O Jehovah, do forgive. O Jehovah, do pay attention and act! Do not delay, for your own sake, O my God, for your own name has been called upon your city and upon your people.”
-Daniel 9:3-19.

Notice that Daniel starts his prayer by addressing the Sovereign of the universe by his name Jehovah, and he does so with reverence and respect, and glorifies and praises Jehovah. And throughout this prayer of confession of the sins of the people, he uses the personal name of the true God, Jehovah 14 times.

How did God respond? Daniel says:

"While I was still speaking and praying and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel and making my request for favor before Jehovah my God concerning the holy mountain of my God, yes, while I was yet speaking in prayer, the man Gaʹbri·el, whom I had previously seen in the vision, came to me when I was extremely weary at about the time of the evening gift offering."-Daniel 9:20-21.

So Jehovah was pleased with Daniel. In fact a little later on Jehovah sends and angel to tell Daniel this:

"“O Daniel, you very precious man, give attention to the words that I am about to speak to you. Now stand up in your place, for I have been sent to you.” When he said this to me, I stood up, trembling. He then said to me: “Do not be afraid, O Daniel. Your words have been heard from the first day that you gave your heart to understanding and to humbling yourself before your God, and I have come because of your words.”-Daniel 10:11-12.

So Daniel was told that Jehovah listened to his prayers, and he was called a "very precious man." Yes Jehovah considered Daniel precious! He certainly cherished his loyal servant, and was highly pleased that Daniel talked in prayer to the true God and directed that prayer to God by his name Jehovah!

In fact the Bible is replete with prayers of holy ones who prayed to the true God and used his name. And all of them are recorded in the Bible for our benefit. So we can know for 100% certainty that Jehovah does indeed want us to use his name. Especially when we pray to him!

Can you imagine a person claiming to be your friend and not KNOWING your name? And NEVER using it? What would you think of that person? Is that person's affection real or fake? And imagine a person boasting about knowing you? And using your name being proud to know you. And imagine that you had been slandered and that person boldly defended you by name sticking up for you? What emotions would that stir in you?

Do you think God is any different? Who do you think pleases God? Those that hide his name or those that use it? Those that defend God's name and his goodness before the people or those who hide his name, and slander him and spread the most pernicious lies about him?

God has feelings too you know!

Even the angels in heaven praise God using his most holy name Jehovah. Talking about the living creatures, that is the created beings, standing before Jehovah's throne in heaven we see the vision in Revelation, they fall down before his throne to worship him and they praise him by his name Jehovah:

"Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanksgiving to the One seated on the throne, the One who lives forever and ever...saying: “You are worthy, Jehovah our God, to receive the glory and the honor and the power, because you created all things, and because of your will they came into existence and were created.”-Revelation 4:9-11.

Can you please cite that in the scripture, "God's word". Because, it just seems like your opinion.

Satan confounded nothing but took advantage of man’s free will, causing us to loose it, and left us slaves to sin.

And? Is that NOT God's will? Is it not part of the creation God labored 6 days over, and then declared it was "good", before he rested?

Or was Adam and Eve's free will a flaw in God's good creation, causing it to go bad, in your opinion?

What does God's word say?

Which is it necessary to do, teach a child to do bad or do good?

I never had to teach my child to be good. She was always "good". She just needed guidance to navigate social situations, to best express her goodness and evaluate her priorities.

I actually agree with much that you say and believe, I certainly don’t hate you. But to me, it’s highly offensive that your leadership had the audacity to change the word of God to suit yourself.

Almost every scripture you quote is different from what is in the Bible, and you claim to be Christian when you are clearly not. All this you hang on one man’s hate of the Catholic Church and its teachings. It’s really easy to claim that you were divinely inspired, people do it all the time. Your savior is Charles Tase Russell. Billions of Christians and everyone else except the JW are condemned on his word.

I have no problem with you, believe whatever you wish. If you are JW, own it. But you cannot call yourself a Christian. It’s one or the other my friend, and you have already made your choice.

There are many that have been deceived thru time. Mohamed changed the Bible to suit himself and created Islam. In recent times people like the Mormons wrote their own Bible. LDS, James Koresh, Jim Jones, Heavens Gate, and many many others sought to control people thru “ Divine inspiration”.

You claim that you have the only path to God, I say you’re wrong. Acknowledging that Christ existed does not make you a Christian. I’m still waiting for you to tell me how you expect anyone to believe that you are.

Please tell me what makes you a Christian, I really want to know. Your claim demands an answer. Or are you being deceptive?

Jehovah's Witnesses have used and published over 100 different versions and translations of the Bible in different languages. It doesn't matter which one you quote from. There is no deception. I could teach a person the truth from the King James Bible as easily as I could from the New World Translation. And have done it on a number of occasions.

It is actually translations like the King James Version that have removed the holy name of Jehovah over 7,000 times! They are the ones that have changed the Bible to fit their false doctrine. They are the ones holding the delusion and deception over you.

Jesus in the model prayer said for us to pray this way:

“‘Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified."-Matthew 6:9

So Jesus thought that God's name was of upmost importance. And told us to pray the same, for the sanctification of God's name. Did Jesus hide Jehovah's name? He prayed the night before he died:

“I have made your name manifest to the men whom you gave me out of the world."-John 17:6.

So Jesus told his Father that he revealed Jehovah's name to his followers. He did not hide it.

And we are told in Acts:

For “everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved.”  However, how will they call on him if they have not put faith in him? How, in turn, will they put faith in him about whom they have not heard? How, in turn, will they hear without someone to preach? How, in turn, will they preach unless they have been sent out? Just as it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who declare good news of good things!”-Acts 10:13-15.

So God's name must be preached in all the earth. In fact that was the commission Jesus gave to all his followers:

"Go, therefore, and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit."-Matthew 28:19.

Who are the group of Christians that are baptizing the people in the name of Jehovah God, Jesus Christ, and the holy spirit? Certainly not the Churches of Christendom. They hide the name and do not use it.

Yet the Psalmist exclaimed:

"I will praise Jehovah for his justice;
I will sing praises to the name of Jehovah the Most High."
-Psalm 7:17.

Jesus said that his followers are no part of the wicked world:

"Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, for this reason the world hates you."-John 15:19.

Jesus' followers do not partake in the wars and the politics of this world in Satan's hands. Rather they are busy preaching the good news of God's incoming kingdom government:

"And this good news of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come."-Matthew 24:14.

They are citizens of God's kingdom in heaven.

Jesus said that broad and spacious is the road leading to destruction and many on it while narrow the gate and cramped the road leading to life and few are on it:

“Go in through the narrow gate, because broad is the gate and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are going in through it; whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are finding it."-Matthew 7:13-14.

He also said that during the last days his followers would be slandered and murdered and every sort of lie and wicked thing would be said against them on account of his name:

11 “Happy are you when people reproach you and persecute you and lyingly say every sort of wicked thing against you for my sake."-Matthew 5:11.

So here is the question. Who hold Jehovah God's name in the highest of esteem and are declaring it in all the earth? Who are publishing the good news of God's incoming kingdom as a witness to all the nations in all the earth? Who have separated themselves from the world, refusing to involve themselves in its wars and its politics, instead trusting in Jesus and his incoming kingdom government to fix all of mankind's pressing problems? Who is a relatively small group of people carrying and preaching Jehovah's name? Who have the utmost regard for the Bible and Bible truth, and believe in God's word?

Jesus said:

"By this all will know that you are my disciples—if you have love among yourselves.”-John 13:35.

Who are unified around the world in the one pure language of truth and by real Christian love, refusing to pick up arms and fight against their brother?

Not one single Church in Christendom meets even a single requirement that the Bible lays out for God's true followers. And yet Jehovah's true witnesses meet all the requirements by the Bible as true Christians. There even isn't a race, it isn't even close. Not by a long country mile.

If you said you were a friend of someone and yet said the most hideous lies about that person, and hid his name, how do you think he would feel about you? If someone did that to you what would you think about him? And then you open your mouth in fulfillment of Bible prophecy to condemn, curse, lie, and name call Jehovah's friends. How do you think he feels about it?

If you want to find a counterfeit you don't need to study all the counterfeits. Just know what the real genuine article is. And you will never be fooled.

Ok, let me try to keep this very simple. You are not a Christian unless you believe that Christ is God. Plain and simple.
JW cannot justify itself without altering the original Bible. You took the parts of the Bible that prove your teaching false and changed them. Then you hide behind a wall of altered scripture to try and convince yourself and others that you have the only truth.

You claim to be able to use the KJV to teach the truth as you see it. I'm going to call you on that. I usually don't quote scripture, I only read and try to understand what it says, but I'm going to make an exception.

King James Version John 1: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word Was God. He was in the beginning with God.

King James Version John 14: And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us.

There is more to both verses, but that's all I need to prove my point. Those two verses refer to Christ. This is accepted by all Christians. I says flat out that Christ was with the Father in the beginning, and that he is God.

But wait, Let's look at the JW version of this. The New World Translation.  John 1: In the beginning was the Word, and the
word was a God. looks similar but its not. it was altered from the original Scripture by adding 1 single letter a.

With the addition of that one letter the whole meaning of the Scripture was changed to imply that Christ was a God, not that he was God. You had to change that because as its written, it shows that you are dead wrong and following a manufactured lie perpetrated in the late Middle Ages. The truth will always come out my friend , no matter how hard you try to substitute your version of it. If God is as rigid and vengeful as you believe, Then I'd say you have something to worry about.

I could spend the next year giving you examples of how you were manipulated, but you wouldn't really listen. I will leave you with this, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are all God and comprise the Holy Trinity. if you read the Bible, and call your self a Christian you would know this, that's why I say that you are being deluded.

Well done for highlighting the lies & deception of this pope, who does not deserve the title or position, as he is lying about the nature of Man & the nature of God. All have sinned & fall short of the glory of God...

“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?” (Jeremiah 17:9 ESV)

Perfect quote to destroy the Pope's position in one fell swoop.

We are fallen, and are in need of the Saviour. I believe He saves people after death as well as in life, I don't believe He sends unbelievers straight to Hell, indeed I tend to follow the writings of Emmanuel Swedenborg on the subject, that there is a spiritual world where non-Christians go after death where they are taught the truth regarding the nature of Christ, the plan of salvationm and various other important spiritual topics. People then fit themselves into communities that they share an affinity with, either in Heaven or Hell depending on the state of their heart & their response to being taught of the Lord. People thrown themselves into Hell, God doesn't do it.

Indeed, according to the interactions of a certain exorcist in the 1930's with a demon he was in the process of casting out, the demon, under the compulsion to tell the truth by virtue of the exorcist's control over it, told the exorcist that Hell was the creation of Satan & his demons, not the creation of God. The demon even said, regarding God: "It never even entered His mind to create a Hell".

This is backed up by the fact that in the Book of Revelation, it is prophesied that Hell itself will be cast into the lake of fire, as an enemy of God & not a part of His lawful Creation.

I think the major thing tearing humanity apart, even within the Christian Community is the Deadly Sin of Pride.

We become so attached to our perspectives, how God speaks to us individually, that when someone gets a different message as part of His Plan, our Pride causes us to argue and bicker over semantics and lose sight of the message.

Only God the Father Knows, and there are multiple authors to the Old Testament, each speaking from the position of what God revealed to THEM.....it's a tricky work, indeed, and we forget all the Books and Gospels the Council of Nience decided to leave out for their own purposes and reasonings at the time such was determined.

Not to mention all the Gnostics they murdered for speaking what God revealed to them.

As I see it, He speaks to us in a way we understand, in order for us to fulfill our role in the Great Plan, and right now everything is in chaos, everyone accussing everyone else of being a heretic and so forth, we focus on semantics under the deluded impression that because we have read the Word we are somehow infallible, we weaponize the very same Work that was meant to unite us, Catholic, Prodestant, Jew, Gentile....all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

Jesus told us not to judge, but we continue to do so because we are fallen and sinful creatures, and the forces of wickedness are still inherent in all of us, and we continue to wage Holy Wars and call our bretheren and other aspects of creation abominations, heathens, sinners, heretics and all manner of curses because of Pride and Arrogance.

We are still here, on this Earthly plane, we have not yet passed the Test, we have not recieved our Final Judgement, but somehow we have become so arrogant in our interpretations and translations that we still falsely believe we are the Ultimate Authority.

Just be kind.

Just because God spoke to the original authors 2,000 years ago doesn't mean he's not still speaking to others, in different ways as part of His Design.

He is a Living God.

Please don't fall into the trap of Ego and Pride and fall victim into thinking we, as mere mortals, have figured out the mind of God.

They're called the Mysteries for a reason, and there is no end of corruption and conflict of people arguing over who is right and who is wrong, what scripture is more important than the others, and so forth.

There's enough horrible things going on right now in the world, and I'm sure the forces of Wickedness are taking great joy in watching the Christian Body tear itself apart over semantics.

The Fallen State of Man.
Sin.
Pride.
Ego.
Control.

And the story continues on...we all have our parts to play, please be careful not to fall victim to our fallen nature.

Keep in mind, that the JW are not Christians. They do not believe that Christ is God. What you see here is not two Christians arguing, what it is, is one Christian and one JW. Don’t let these people deceive you, if you believe what the original Latin bible says, you are Christian. If you Deny Christ is God, your not. Simple. JW are not part of the Christian body.

Why the deceit ? Yes the forces of wickedness are truly joyful when it’s said that Christ is not God.

A bit more about what Jesus said at Mark 10:18 (to avoid the wrong impression):
