Aren't the outliers the FBI raids without authorization for use of deadly force? Isn't that almost always included in almost all criminal raids.

Red State - Yes, the Mar-a-Lago Raid Was Extraordinary, but the 'Deadly Force' Language in the Ops Order Wasn't

Here's the thing: The language reflected in the Operations Order and related documents was standard language — the sort of language you'd find in most orders of that nature.

The DOJ deadly force policy is literally in EVERY @fbi op order and read verbatim to every agent involved prior to the op. This is a giant nothing-🍔. If @realDonaldTrump picked a competent @fbi director, he'd have known that. The MAL raid is dubious at best. This policy is not.

It really is a logical leap, and ultimately deceptive to say standard procedure is an attempt to murder him. Or to heavily insinuate it without saying it.

Almost like Trump's so selectively ignorant he forgets how law enforcement and suicide by cop works. Something to use for support if anything.

F*cked up nitpicky raid for sure, but don't let bad reporting light your torch that it was a veiled assassination plot from a guy that can't identify the year.

The order, according to a court filing, contained a "Policy Statement" regarding "Use of Deadly Force," which stated, for example, "Law Enforcement officers of the Department of Justice may use deadly force when necessary."

Sounds like boiler plate stuff. Besides, Trump was in New York during that FBI search. It wasn't like some kind of coded hit job on the former president. LOL

Wouldn't be FOX if they didn't make it into a full-blown dramatic soap opera.

If necessary carrying a lot of weight here, but I feel like it’s implied.

I get he’s getting targeted for politically motivated crimes, but last I checked he didn’t try and reduce the attacks on civil liberties like the Patriot Act and Espionage act.

Hell, he won in part to his catchy platform of going after Hillary and other politicians for corruptions.

While I acknowledge and fear the state of our justice system being politicized, it’s hard for me to empathize with the crocodile tears of either party in this climate.

After he lost interest in pursuing Hillary, and even fired Comey under the official reason of him mishandling the investigation during an election (she was at his wedding)… he didn’t reduce the capacity for the state to target people.

It truly sucks we’re at this point as a country at a time that is so vital.

If rupublicans had done this, it's be a "constitutional crisis".

But since it was against Trump, the plan is to downplay the significance.

All I have to say is, "Told you so!"

I knew the leftists wanted him dead.

Republicans have called for Hillary to be arrested, and they’ve called other treasonous… which carries a death penalty.

I can’t tell the difference between the two since they both bolster the Patriot act or any legislation that reduces individual rights. Hell, the two parties recently came together to pass bills against speech.

I think both sides just have an issue when they suffer from the policies they helped pass.

The "deadly force" wording is just another straw on the camel's back. Not that big of a deal by itself.

DITTO! Trump isn't above the law. The FBI doesn't suspend their policies because Trump is a former president.

Talk about a 2-tiered justice system. Geeez!

Yeah! Shewt em!

lol

That's what Senator Lindsey Graham yelled at Capitol Police on 1/6/2021. Gorilla Byrd did, and Ashley Babbitt died.

Boiler plate language... LOL.

it was at the former presidents house not a meth lab... not a hell angel hideout... not a cartel hideout.

Former president.

Jesus people use that thing on your shoulders for something more than a hat rack, the fact they used boiler plate language in this situation shows an astounding lack of competence in this administration.

It should terrify everyone in the nation, if they include that as an option for a president that hasnt been charged with any egregious crimes, means we are a short step away from the cops just walking up and shooting you.

Good lord mendez has been charged with way worse than trump, and I will bet a paycheck that "boiler plate" language wasnt in there for him.

How many times has republican lawmakers arrested Hillary authorized with deadly force?

Pretty sure protocol is the same for everyone.

Not hearing about it means nothing.

These stupid, deflecting replies are coming from the same jug heads that think targeting a political opponent with manufactured charges in multiple trials is perfectly normal.

They’ll never admit that it’s wrong because Trump is a Bad Orange Man that has hurt them so deeply, they can’t walk straight.

The FBI in a statement on Tuesday said that their search at former President Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence followed standard protocol, which "includes a standard policy statement limiting the use of deadly force."
