A helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi suffered a “hard landing” on Sunday, Iranian state media reported, without immediately elaborating.

Raisi was traveling in Iran’s East Azerbaijan province. State TV said the incident happened near Jolfa, a city on the border with with the nation of Azerbaijan,
Rescuers were attempting to reach the site, state TV said, but had been hampered by poor weather conditions. There had been heavy rain and fog reported with some wind. IRNA called the area a “forest.”

Helicopter carrying Iran’s president suffers a ‘hard landing,’ state TV says without further details

Just breaking-The President and the Foriegn minister of Iran are at this moment missing in the cloud covered mountains of the border area between Iran and Azerbaijan.

Al jazeera already trying to blame the crash on Western sanctions preventing helicopter maintinence..

The president and foriegn minister were in one helicopter of 3-no reports if the other two copters survived or were involved in some kind of collision.
They are being searched for,but weather and land conditions are making access to the site difficult.

"Tragic" accident or something more?
More pressure for the cooker..

Edit to add this info-President Raisi is/was potentially the next Ayotollah-making this event even more serious for the Iranian regime-

Raisi has been described as "a favorite and possible successor" to Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, by several sources. In 2019, Saeid Golkar of Al Jazeera called Raisi "the most likely successor of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei" as Supreme Leader of Iran. In 2020, Dexter Filkins described him as "frequently mentioned" as a successor to Khamenei.

Darn they cannot keep up with the maintenance of their helicopters, but they can support terrorists financially?

What happen with the 90 billion dollars biden gave to them in 2021?

Iran is and has always been full of excrement.

Im sure the iranians will find out it was US/UK/Isreal somehow..Its too great an opportunity not to blame on the enemy.

Just watching al jazeera who of course are terribly upset-anyway they say the Minister and President were trying to have a live phone/radio call back to some event in a mosque back in Iran, but the call kept cutting out-since the crash, that phone or radio is not answering calls so maybe no comms or maybe no one alive to use them..

They are showing footage of rescuers arriving in the area and the fog is very thick which will not help the search.

Either he pulled a Batman or he pulled a Kobe.

Whenever they use weird language like "hard landing" or "special military operation," That's just the PR team trying to keep the public docile.

Hard landing?

Most likely pulled a Kobe.

Yep the terrorist in the US needs to keep feeding the idiots with propaganda, now they can claim US/Israel try to kill the Iranian leaders.

The protest will start very soon the united terrorist nations flags will be flying all over the US.

Fars news agency has said the helicopter was involved in an accident , hopefully that's the case.

Iran's semi-official Fars news agency has called on Iranians to pray for President Ebrahim Raisi, following reports a helicopter in a convoy he was travelling in has been involved in an accident.

Wonder as well if it might not be a Ukrainian calling card. A way of thanking Tehran for providing drones to Russia.

Cheers

Yep and Al jazeera are now saying an Iranian official has said the copter "crashed."
They are talking about the Iranians getting ready to sign the VP on as president now as well.

Reports say there's heavy fog in the are which is hampering the rescue operation , that and that there were 3 helicopters traveling together may hint at the cause.

Jewish Space Laser.

Are you mad?
Everyone knows space lasers don't work in thick fog-even the Jewish kind.

Was just watching agendafreetv on the subject-Iranian news agency say they have 2 hrs before it will be dark and "too cold" to continue searching-but they expect the first rescue team to reach the site within half an hour.
That channel is pretty good at getting fast latest updates-

Wait for it!...

First reports are 'hard landing', BUT when they get to the site and find it crashed because of controlled flight into terrain (CFIT), Iran will be screaming..."THEY WERE SHOT DOWN! THIS IS WAR!! DEATH TO THE INFIDELS!"
