As the days, hours and minutes tick away, madness here on ATS will set in. It is inevitable. Sanity, reason and decorum will slip away, giving way to increasing instability and chaos. As agent Smith said in The Matrix..."It is IN-evti-able".

The vortex of the unknown swirls before us, and we can choose to jump in, or run. Try as we might, the pull is strong, and it is not about physical strength, but rather mental fortitude.

I chuckle when I contemplate the next phrase here...so trite yet so telling:

"I've been to the edge, and there I stood and looked down; you know, I lost a lot of friends there, Baybee; I've got no time to F around!"

There is a place, on the "other side", if you choose to go there. It is a different place, but with many of the same people. And, while it may seem familiar, it will never be ATS (all due respect). It might be close, and it might seem cozy, but it is just safe harbor. When the storm passes, your questions will still be the same. "What just happened?"

As we look back, we see a final chapter close, and a new era begin. The future will indeed be different, more different than we know. Perhaps the new era will lead to greatness, but in the same breath it may lead to oblivion. For my part, I hope for the former, and not the latter.

We've seen a lot of 'stuff', much good and some bad. We've weathered many storms, some better and some worse. In the end, I do know one thing...the survivors here can survive anywhere, and this gives me hope. It gives me hope not just for a simple website community, but for the greater people at large.

We've spent decades talking about "they" and "them"; countless questions have been asked here about who these people were/are. There was never a definitive answer, but to the true believers, everyone really knew the answer. The questions were really more just diversionary rhetoric.

Tomorrow, we step forward into a new light, a new path. May it be a good one for all of you.

There are a variety of opinions about the exact point in time, but suffice to say roughly (5) days (plus or minus).

At the present, everything is on borrowed time. It could be 5 minutes from now.

I have a domain with Godaddy and contacted them specifically about this yesterday. The site will not go down before the 25th. End the speculation. We have until then, and possibly up until the 28th. Considering how heavy traffic to this site is over the last 25 years - I presume Godaddy will give the full 10 days until the 28th.

I have one with Go Daddy as well and the last time I renewed it, they gave me such a bargain I renewed it for two years instead of one - I just couldn't pass up the savings they offered me. I think it might be telling if the present owners didn't use the two-year bargain they were probably offered like me, and it just goes down in a few days.

I agree we used to have a domain for 20 years nowhere near the traffic and always renewed during COVID we let it lapse, at first there were notifications then there were deals that got renewal, and when it went past the grace period they wanted way too much to reacquire the name. We modified it slightly and got a new name

I would like to think that most long term members will continue to conduct themselves to the same high standards that have always applied here.....otherwise you'd have to question whether they've learnt anything at all during their time here.

Just like everyone I've transgressed T&C's on occasions but personally I'll try to act with respect and dignity.

If Godaddy is still paid, would they care where the check came from?.

Are they still based in North Perth near the Dollhouse and Maccas?.

ETA: no the property is on the market and not used by them for a while.

Being unique is very normal.. Cray cray is something different than being normal.

You are tough. What can they say that will make it worse? It is hell already out most of our doors. This has been a place to bounce ideas off of each other anonymously and live to talk tomorrow. This has people reading the threads from all over the planet and has been the biggest red pill for many folks. I have taking links from these threads into my world and I thank all sides and all of you for being willing to speak your minds.
