Would it not be more inclusive just to let them mingle?

I mean that way the kids of atheists may even decide to subscribe to a religious way of thinking.

After all FlyersFan you catch more flies with honey and all that jazz.

Why can't people who believe in God have a group for themselves so they can get together in brotherhood and do nice things together and bond? Not everything has to be 'inclusive'. The atheists want to play 'scout' ... then they can get their own groups together and do such. No need for Boy Scouts to water down their purpose.

Atheists are free to make a similar type group for their atheist kids.

The Boy Scouts were set up as a group for boys who believe in God to get together and bond and do special things. No one is stopping the atheists from starting their own group. There is no need for Boy Scouts to change in order to be 'inclusive' with atheists. Not everything has to be all inclusive.

And? Things change.
It's doesn't promote any specific religion so all its doing is excluding some kids based on their personal beliefs that are actually irrelevant to the scouts.

I thought they did to be honest, lots of different ones.

What about pals that hang around from opposite ends of the religious tree that get excluded, or unable to take part in activities, because of what others think they believe?

There are just weans FlyersFan, I'm my book they can all play.

And if the good book suggests otherwise I'm apt to question why never mind the benevolent part where god loves us all unconditionally.

No need to pigeonhole kids, again we are all Jock Tamson's Bairns, more similar than we are different.

Will girl scouts be rebranding as well? What about their cookies. Something tells me generic cookies won't sell as well as "girl scout cookies."

I just think that it is nice that people who believe the same thing can get together and bond together and play together. Not everything has to be all inclusive. Everything else is inclusive. Something set apart just for themselves is kinda nice.

But I'm not a boy scout ... so it's whatever they want.

I don't think non-Americans quite understand the religious problem in the USA.

I wasn't religious but enjoyed my time in Scouts. In fact, our Scout leader was Muslim even though we met at a Christian church. I don't recall any religious teachings in our troop beyond mentioning God in the pledge.

The scouts provided good mentorship and life skills for young boys. It is a shame the left's politics has destroyed a good organization.

Probably not.

They are not as affiliated with churches like the Boy Scouts. However, some churches are now kicking the Boy Scouts out and rebranding their groups with their own chosen name.

Girl Scouts have been progressive for quite some time now.

They will still find something to squabble about and pigeonhole each other same beliefs or not, because on the flip side of all that empathy I'm punting, thats what kids do, and part and parcel of the human condition.

Thats true to a degree, but i could never exclude a kid or person from participation, down to what i assume they're or their parent's belief system to be.

Or at least i would like to think i would never do so.

But I'm not a boy scout ... so it's whatever they want.

I wanted to play sports. I was told I could be a cheerleader.

My sources inside the Scouts headquarters state that the biggest opponent to this is troop leaders and scout masters who have complained that they don't know how to fondle females in their sleeping bags.
