It's a piss poor line of reasoning in all honesty but at least the Iraq war has "associated deaths" this time I've seen that stock reply.

Anything before ratified international agreements don't count and anything after takes a lot of research to find out that those deaths are often not from direct conflict but from malnutrition, the break down of law & order and things like that. Which is also why there's international groups and charities attempting to stop such carnage albeit often feebly...

Vietnam saw some hellish carpet bombing as well as sending dumb asses (conscription) into the jungle, stands to reason a lot of people needlessly died in that conflict especially with the hindsight of PTSD being applied to that conflict. Meh, the US has guided munitions and there's at least a bit of an effort not to blow up weddings and marketplaces most of the time.

Idk much about the Korean war although people who served in it said it was a hellscape at times, it's not fun dealing with human waves. Maybe they burnt a few villages to let off some steam...

War sucks.
It's probably wise to keep some soul around if you're not in a warzone. Civilians kill each other when they've temporarily lost their mind, militaries kill civilians because it's normal? Life's cheap in a uniform... Come get your discount! Now that's an advertisement slogan I'd sign up for!

Name a war with no civilian casualties. You didn't stop to think of that, and neither did Hamas. Congrats, you're equals in that sense. Just kidding, hamas has children velcro'd to themselves because they DID think of civilian casualties. In fact, the only tike Hamas considers civilians is their value as casualties.

How do you know those "Palestinians " are innocent? Palentinians are Hamas. Hamas indoctrinates and trains children, starting around 5 to be suicide bombers and spotters....they eventually become Hamas fighters. Good riddance to future terrorists.
There would be less Palestinian deaths if they didn't shield Hamas or if Hamas didn't purposely infiltrate and hide in the heaviest of "civilian" populations or in schools, daycare, hospitals...ect...ect.

It's not an excuse for mass murder of civilians. Accusing to this logic the war will continue indefinitely until Hamas is no longer there and by killing as many civilians as possible on the way. Not really a good defense when you are accused of war crimes. This is one of them.

That's just a way to sanitise something that is wrong , killing tens of thousands of "non combatants" in a matter of months smacks of either incompetence or criminality and I doubt the IDF are incompetent.
