What is "Genocide"?

Genocide is an internationally recognized crime where acts are committed with the intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial, or religious group. These acts fall into five categories:

Killing members of the group

Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group

Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part

Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group

Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group

There are a number of other serious, violent crimes that do not fall under the specific definition of genocide. They include crimes against humanity, war crimes, ethnic cleansing, and mass killing.

Genocide. A term thrown about a lot lately. Is that what's going on here? Is Israel going after Palastinians because they are Palastininans? Or are they trying to remove the group that declared war on them from the planet? It seems for this to be Genocide, there would have to be a direct action for the purpose of harming the people. Prior to October 7th, this was not taking place unless it was super "under the radar" kind of stuff. So as it appears, the catalyst for the current events was the attack done by HAMAS. As many scream that Israel is bad for killing innocent people in GAZA, those same people don't seem to say anything about HAMAS, not demanding they return the hostages and surrender (doing so would end this occupation and force Israel to stop it's actions in Gaza and they would have to rebuild the aread they destroyed.) That sure sounds like a win for the very people everyone pretends to care about.

So if the goal is truly to save the people of Gaza, and not to try to turn the world against the Jews, the simple answer is to be against the agressor HAMAS is. They are terrorists, I think they even admit to being so, at least by their actions they proved that. Why then, is this being called a Genocide? Perhaps due to the mental negative connotation to the word itself? So most of this is just a psyop to sway public opinion? It would seem so. But for that to work, people would have to blindly believe the propoganda and not, I repeat NOT, check into any facts or think critically about the situation.

If this truly is a genocide, then please explain why. Thanks for reading.

I asked this as the wake of protesters being questioned as to what they were actually protesting and not having a good answer, followed by a guy lighting himself on fire to protest a "genocide" that may not exist. If people who aren't currently on fire don't think it's a genocide, then someone about to light the match should at the very least be able to explain in great detail what makes this that.

How many qualifiers does it take? Do you have to check all the boxes for it to be genocide?? I know! What about "a mostly peaceful genocide"?? Would that work?

1 in 50 children have been killed in the last 6 months. ~13,800 children dead and another ~12,000 injured in response to 33 children being killed by Hamas on Oct 7. I recall rhetoric stating "they'll just grow up to be recruits for Hamas".

So oh well, right?

Almost the entirety of their country's infrastructure has been hammered flat. No other neighboring countries want to take them in. Why is that? Because even though they're Muslims, they also happen to be Palestinians??

I think there's at least a facet of Israel's plan that directly targets Palestinians for cleansing.

The aid is a humanitarian response, (most likely by Obama as Biden is a sworn Zionist by his own admission), but also serves the overall optics so it isn't blatant genocide. Just slightly genocidal-ish, but not quite, so then it isn't apparently.

I think Trump is right when he recently remarked that the hostages are more than likely dead. I wonder what the response will be if and when that realization becomes real.

Yep, that is my answer Troll. I think some here know what I am saying is true but haven't thought that part thru as much as they have the emotional part where raped and murdered folks were how we started this. A group that pretends to be good Islamists and one pretending to be Jews good or bad. We have to discern what is going on with liars giving us "news" .The real trick is to pick from their lies what is real and what is not. That is very hard for a smart person, and near impossible for the normies. All we can do is be logical when we explain our reasoning. Genocide? The problem is it's all down to semantics. The very first definition should be "against civilians" as the first four of the definitions are definitions of warfare. Now here comes the grey area that these rule makers really like to include in their rules and the reasons that allow others to interpret what they want.
The enemy can call themselves what they want, "Hamas", "IRA" etc. but in a war situation your enemy wears a uniform, but even though they can call themselves "an army" they are really civilians and as such they are the ones screaming when they are killed "but that was a civilian" "genocide".
And as such your army could be patrolling and the man selling bread or begging or just walking along could be a "freedom fighter" "terrorist" that could quite as easy turn and kill you.
