I don't think that patriotism ever was a good moniker. At least not in the flag-waiving, USA IS NUMBER ONE! way that is usually what it's taken to mean.

You need a permit to do just about everything except fart in the US. And with the politization of the "climate crisis", I expect we'll be permitted or taxed for that before long.

In many states, you can't even collect rainwater from your roof without a massive environmental impact study and permission from the gov't.

Likely, nearly half of your labor is extorted by the gov't under the guise of "taxes."

As to the Constitution... Seriously? It's trampled on daily by the executive, legislative and judicial branches. I won't even try to give examples. They are so blatant that if you can't see them, you just don't want to.

The American government is supposed to be "of the people, by the people, and for the people". If you oppose the majority of citizens, you aren't a patriot. That simple.

The majority of people in Zimbabwe and South Africa are all in for slaughtering white farmers. I guess a person opposed to that would be "fifth columnist" or a "true terrorist."

This seems accurate. Its a more leftwing movement. No surprise. Antisemitism has always taken root on the fringes, on the left and the right. I would say that most of the so called lefties (all people who are against facism for example) are pro Israel.

I am not an American.

But I can see what is happening there. It's all over the media.

The government that you have there is a consequence of a poorly written and dated Constitution.

Interestingly, I wonder who proposed, and was in government, each time counter-Constitutional acts (such as the Patriot Act, Freedom Act, and Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act), were implemented? These are ALL the result of right-leaning government.
