the Palestinian attack was against the IDF and not the pier which is yet to be built.
The temporary piers established at President Biden’s order have run way over budget and caused several issues since USAID commenced deliveries, leading some lawmakers to question the value of the operation.
"At the end of the day, it's unnecessarily putting our people in harm's way. It's costing a lot. It's pulling assets that should be used elsewhere, and I just don't think it's going to accomplish anything near what he's promised," Rep. Michael Waltz, R-Fla., told Fox News Digital in an interview.
Waltz said the cost for the project totaled over $300 million, with some reports citing a figure as high as $320 million – which would be double what initial estimates indicated, Sen. Roger Wicker, R-Miss., told Reuters, calling the operation a "dangerous effort with marginal benefit."
Hamas terrorists launched a barrage of rockets into Israel on Sunday, with roughly a dozen of them being fired from the hotly contested city of Rafah.

Israel's Iron Dome successfully intercepted the majority of the rockets, with alarms sounding in Tel Aviv and other major cities. The strike comes as Israeli forces are increasing operations in and around Rafah, what Israel says is the final major stronghold for Hamas in Gaza
The attack occurred before U.S. personnel began constructing the floating pier, the official said, noting that “there will be no U.S. forces on the ground in Gaza.”

Construction of the pier hadn't started yet Hamas were targeting IDF on the ground , seems there's a war on.
... and the IDF and American troops were helping with the construction and security of the pier which was to bring needed supplies to the people of Gaza.

Except there were no American troops there or any work started on the pier so no , they weren't.

When you become a terrorist organization for defending your country.🙄
In case you haven’t heard, hamas is lobbing bombs/missles from rafah at Israel a day ago, lots of them.

if Hamas put down their guns there would be no more war, if Israel put down their guns there would be no more Israel.
And in case you haven't hearn none of the rockets made it to their destination but at least 45 people were killed in Rafah by Israel's response , Netanyahu has since called it a "tragic mishap" probably with one eye on the ICC who are watching.
In a statement, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed they had carried out an air strike on "a Hamas compound in Rafah," where "significant Hamas terrorists were operating". Acknowledging reports of civilian casualties from a fire ignited by the strike, the army said the incident was "under review".
Air raid sirens also sounded in cities including Herzliya and Petah Tikva. The IDF said its Iron Dome anti-missile system had intercepted three of the eight projectiles.
Most of them landed in open areas, but photos published by Israeli media appeared to show minor damage from shrapnel to a home in Herzliya, where an elderly women lived with her caretaker. Police said two people suffered light injuries.
An official for the Hamas-run media office said 30 people had been killed.

Sounds like more human shields for hamas, doesn’t it?

At least they have the means to defend themselves, something that’s apparently frowned upon by many. BTW: most of the rockets did make it through, only 3 of 8 were shot down, one damaging a house in Israel, injuring 2.

As far as civilian deaths….why the hell are they there? They were told to evacuate rafah a few weeks ago or risk the consequences. If there’s still civilians there that’s their own fault, they had more than fair warning. This isn’t a game it’s war. If you’re told to pack your # that’s what you do. Now they’re going to piss n moan about civilian life’s? Give me a break. Of course hamas is going to claim civilian deaths, that’s the propaganda they do. Are we supposed to believe anything that Hamas and Hamas media spews?
You’re saying 45 killed? Although I don’t believe this number either but….from Hamas and BBC…..
An official for the Hamas-run media office said 30 people had been killed.
Israel said they were bombing a Hamas military compound which makes sense since rafah’s not that big and there’s 4 battalions hiding there.
As far as Bibi being worried about the political bs of the ICC, he’s not stopping and I don’t think he’s worried.
