Do you think Biden doing a "scorched earth" retreat while intentionally committing political suicide?

It's not political suicide at all. Half the country thinks razing your taxes is good and cutting them is bad. It's the same half that think men are women and Islam is the religion of peace.

So I’d love lower taxes since most of it gets wasted anyways.

What’s the plan on tackling debt and inflation from either side? I’m all ears.

Quit giving billions to foreign countries. Quit giving welfare to people that should be deported.

Close the tax loopholes for those privileged elite Democrat corporations like GE.

Stop funding NPR

Get Jon bon Jovi to pay his dadblamn taxes.

You could go on and on but Biden just wants to take more of your money.

I do. Now you answer truthfully, do you actually think that Biden has any chance of winning? Or any other Democrat for that matter? It's exactly the same as MAD, ie. "If we can't win we'll ruin as much as possible for the follow ons. And be damned.

Which side has historically done what you suggested?

Because I’m looking at history and they both just increase spending.

The spending started under Trump, so did the pandemic. The economy is in large part due to how Trump responded in 2020. I know, I know, it was everyone but Trump's fault when he was in office but all Biden's fault now. You can't put this all on Biden even though he has played a part as well.

Biden made it all worse instead of fixing it like he promised. 😧

Ah, it becomes clearer. It's called leave the crap scenario. You'll see exactly the same tactic in the UK before this years elections. IE. the outgoing party, Biden/Sunak, know they have absolutely no chance of winning so before they are voted out they cause massive problems (upping tax, spend excessively on vanity projects, promise the Earth) which greatly affect the population then the incoming people are in the sh## before they start. Then for the next few years the losers/opposition now can crow at the government that it's their fault that they can't cure the troubles straight away.

The added bonus comes with all the problems they are causing somewhere along the line they are juicing the system and pocketing millions.

This is the way it is done.

Why didn't Trump make the middle and lower class tax cuts permanent like he did the corporate tax cuts? Seems a little weird to be holding Biden accountable for something Trump didn't take the initiative on when he had the chance.

……

The Republicans didn’t make the middle/lower class tax cuts permanent for the obvious reason that they could then make them into an election year issue in 2024.

Which is exactly what WMC is trying to do with this post.

“Vote Republican and we will renew the tax cuts. Vote Democrat and they will raise your taxes.” That’s their message.

You do realize the reason gas is higher is because of Trump right?

So you remember back during the pandemic when the oil price went negative?

American oil producers lobbied the government to get OPEC to reduce production to protect them.

Well Trump went over to OPEC and forced them to slash production by 9.7 million bpd. Almost 10% of daily production.

www.reuters.com...#:~:text=On%20April%2012%2C%20under%20pressure,about%2010%25%20of%20global%20output.

So what happens when you slash production? Oil prices increase.

Now Biden did try to get OPEC to increase production again. He was able to get a small production increase. But not the full.
www.reuters.com...

This deal expired in 2022. Yet OPEC countries are still extending the voluntary cuts.
www.opec.org...

Seems like they like the profits that higher prices give.

Biden isn't the one who kick-started the inflation and had a lousy response to the pandemic. Yeah, Biden hasn't made anything better AT ALL but stop trying to act like Trump doesn't have any blood on his hands. It started with him, Biden just took the baton and ran with it.

Oh come on, that wasn't Trump's fault at all! His advisors tricked him into cutting oil production! Trump is playing 4D chess remember? Even when he loses he wins in his supporters eyes. He can do no wrong and if you question his motive at all your lumped in with pedophiles and antisemites.

Get with the program.

It's not political suicide. The nutz hate Trump so much that they'll vote for Biden no matter how corrupt he is and no matter how much of their money he takes.

That's why I think Biden is the fall guy for Trump and his handlers. He's taken all the blame for everything that has gone wrong since Trump got into office. Don't worry though, Trump will blame the upcoming war on Biden as well and won't have to take any accountability for his actions then either.

Yet I see Trump getting credit for the tax cuts all the time around here, ALL the time. Now all of a sudden when they don't look so great for him he had nothing to do with them? Classic. You guys have become experts at passing the buck for Trump when your ideology calls for it. 😂

Of course they had to make the individual taxes and and not the corporate. Corporate welfare with Trump as the face, can't get any more ironic than that.

He signed it in the end so you can say it was Trump's tax cuts, but the framework is Congress. As to cuts... high income got from 1 to 2.4 % cut, Middle got 4% and lower got 3%.

My point was that there were other driving factors than just Trump saying to make it expire in 2025, and also why he couldn't push to make them permanent.

I just do not know what you all are bitching about.

The same thing can be said for Trump supporters.
You have fallen for the left vs right narrative. All you are doing is just helping both Biden and Trump continue the division that only benefits them.
I feel sorry for you
