I read the indictment. Did you? All is states is bad GL entries, an invoice and a cancelled checks.

This is as bad as being fined 500 million for paying off a loan.

I want someone to tell me, without simply pointing to an indictment, what the crime was?

Now, if the checks were not available. If there was no paper trail on payments. No GL entries. THAT would be illegal as something is being hidden.

Nothing was being hidden. Just like Weisellberg, if anything, a reimbursement was made to someone. Someone who paid out of their own pocket through an LLC. Not Trump

If you are still on the fence about this, any of you, just because you hate Trump you are doing yourself a disservice.

Colangelo just quoted Trump from the infamous "Access Hollywood" tape that came out in October 2016, just weeks before the election, to the jury.
Colangelo quoted Trump saying that he could grab women by the "p----."

That crooked judge merchan let this evidence in.
It has nothing to do with this case.
Rigged.
The appeals court is going to have a field day.

The judge had previously ruled that the prosecution can quote from the transcript of the AH tape but they can't show the tape.

Yes.
I told you that pages ago when you tried to gaslight everyone here by saying that access Hollywood stuff is off limits.
There’s no difference between playing the tape and reading the transcript of the tape. Same crap.
This crooked judge putting his stinky fingers all over the scale of justice.
Should never have been allowed.

Oh that will happen soon enough when the Trump Vendetta Tour starts after he is elected.

I will be cheering it on every minute like you guys are over these manufactured trials.

Instead, prosecutors here in New York have charged him with falsifying business records after the fact. The hurdle for prosecutors now is the timeline in their story. How would “cooking the books” in 2017, as they say, after nearly all of the damning facts had already been exposed by tons of reporting, hide anything from voters?

Even NBC sees the BS of this case. LoL

Maybe you could stick to the facts of the trial -- to start.

“Calling the events "pre-Covid," Blanche emphasized that some of the discussions dated back to 2015.”

Yes. There were discussions between Trump, Cohen, and Pecker in 2015 to catch-and-kill any stories that might be harmful to Trump's campaign.

You can easily search and see that there's no news articles between 2006 (when the affair occurred) and 2018 (when the story broke.)

Trump and Cohen were able to successfully bury the story and then Trump tried to cover it up by listing the payments to pay Cohen back as legal fees even though no retainer agreement existed between the two parties.

“Blanche moved away from his lectern and the microphone to get a clearer look from the jury as he noted that Trump paid Cohen $420,000, rather than $130,000, trying to cast doubt on the prosecution’s argument that it was a repayment for the Daniels nondisclosure agreement.

“Would a frugal businessman … would a man who pinches pennies” repay a $130,000 debt to the tune of $420,000, Blanche told the jury.

“This was not a payback.”

Yes I read it. I only answered your question and didn't offer any opinion.

If you want it, then of course this is politically motivated.

You assume too much.

It's all in the indictment even if you don't like it.

Don't shoot the messenger.

Why would a frugal businessman be paying a lawyer regular payments without any kind of retainer agreement in place?
