Pecker's a pretty strong first witness. He can testify to having multiple conversations with Trump about the hush money payments.

They say the lying Cohen will testify about the Access Hollywood stuff.

Merchan also ruled that prosecutors will not be permitted to play the "Access Hollywood" tape -- on which Trump is overheard bragging about how he approaches women -- to the jury or introduce it into evidence. However, prosecutors are allowed to elicit testimony about the tape and how it prompted Trump to fear its impact on his presidential aspirations.

Trump's mental state following the release of the tape and how it may have affected his decision to make the hush money payment is germane to the case. The tape itself has no bearing on the case so it's not allowed.

Just like how anything Smith may try to testify to that is not directly related to Trump's accounts it's not allowed.

Evidence and testimony must fit within the scope of the case. Anything outside the scope of the case is not permitted. This is no different than any other criminal trial.

I can put my bias aside. I cannot accept any lie as truth, and I cannot let a guilty person walk freely if I sit on a jury. I would pull the plug on Trump if I thought he was guilty for one second.

A visitor from Poland angrily told me over the weekend that this trial was not held in 2021, or 2022, or 2023 because it needed to be timed to stop Donald Trump from becoming President again.

The foreign media is saying if DJT is convicted, he's done.
