Everything's fine, everything's great. No one's suffering or struggling to survive.

You attempted to tell me my "covid story" was bunk when I said the exact same thing about mandates and the lockdowns and their long term affect on the economy.

Low-key calling me a "weak man", "chicken little" and all that #.

Are you for real

As I said you suggest the sky is falling and I don't. Each one of those can be turned around in the next four years. I understand people have hardships, but that isn't what you have been preaching. You are suggesting civilization as we know it will collapse in the near future and I suggested all this swings back and forth.

Four years under Carter sucked too, houses were 14% and cars were 19%, gas was about 6+ at today's dollars and people would line up in lines of 50 cars waiting to get gas. Do you see anything close to that today, and yet we survived and moved into 8 good years.

I was explaining the failures of Biden and team, it's not the end of America, or the dollar, or our worldly influence.

My final short position on DJT keeps getting better and better. Let it ride down down the mountain.

Also, people in this thread need to learn more about how equity growth and loss is calculated. Too many of y'all dont see the issue when you essentially say a 30% drop one day is the same as a 30% increase the next. lol.

and I hope you make millions. It just seems this stock didn't implode within days as the OP predicted. Kind of a fail thus far. But when you trade on emotion, only good results can come from such a thing. My broker taught me that.

Each one of these things can be turned around but the question is will they? Because it hasn't happened yet. We're still right in the thick of things. And all your hopes riding on a Trump election..well that's a big presumption, too because that hasn't happened yet, either. So essentially, you're theorizing just like I am. The difference is my theories are based in reality and what we are experiencing right now in real time. So far, there hasn't been any "swing back" of any pendulum. Things are progressively getting worse.

All your hopes ride on a Trump win for that pendulum swing but if he doesn't win, I'm afraid you're going to have to come up with something else.

Even if he does win, believing ALL of the issues can be turned around in four short years... that's pie in the sky.

It has imploded and been propped up multiple times due to, as you say, emotions. $70 to $20, back up to $50ish to $28ish as of today. Plus the interim fluctuations in between.

Yes, it could. But the reality of the business and the small, niched consumer base for the DJT equity makes the risk very low for those looking to short.

I actually just closed out my last of 3 short positions about 60 minutes ago, so I am good. I am not an overly greedy capitalist. Thank you for the concern.

I will have a small toast to the MAGA folks for their generosity.

Edit to add, the challenge right now is the cost to short is very high because people know the trajectory of this company. It will be increasily less appealing to short now due to the fees.

Edit again to say, even though I feel the risk is low, people should be cautious as always. Like you said, emotions can surprise, despite how illogical or pragmatic!

If Truth Social tanks like I think it will...it won't look good for trump when November rolls around.
But as the anointed one, he should be ok. When you're blessed by the Holy Spirit, it makes you a badass.

I guess my point all along is even if he doesn't win it's not the end we just deal with Biden/Harris for another four years.

I think it would be prudent to ignore Truth Social as an investment. I'm putting all my money on trump bibles, NFT cards and Golden shoes; all proven, classic moneymakers for savy investors.

And my point all along is if all those issues you listed (along with several more) remain unabated, the global socioeconomic downward spiral will not stabilize itself. Someone has to do something to turn things around. Otherwise, the situation will continue to progressively worsen until it hits bottom. That's where we're at. We can't keep printing money into oblivion. Although some people seem to believe it magically grows on trees.

If Biden wins and you expect him to stabilize anything, I've got a bridge to sell you.

Yes I do believe we're going to go through a global collapse but we won't reach the level of Mad Max scenarios. Maybe some parts of the planet will experience that but for most of the world, our leaders already have a solution in place, waiting in the wings just waiting for the rollout.

Everyone will be so grateful and relieved we've been saved from having to go through years and years of hardship and devastation.

What people won't realize about this new system they're being herded into is it's totally run/surveilled by AI and it's going to be much more oppressive than any other system we've been enslaved to in the past. This one's going to be worse.

If my theory turns out to be correct -- a collapse and/or WWIII happens, and if they allow Trump to win this election, I'll suspect he's in on it. He'll be deemed the Savior of the world and the one to usher in this new Dawn of Humanity.

It's nice to get a perspective of who you are talking to. I'm a boomer so kind of seen it all come and go, and maybe that is why I see this all in cycles and not some grande finale of an end.

You're a boomer yet, you've never been through a global pandemic before. You didn't go through a world war and you also missed the Great Depression.

A collapse isn't a grande finale of an end. It represents the end of one era or cycle and the beginning of a new one. Humans have been through several.

Yes. He has. Crazy how people forget about AIDS and how it was going to destroy the planet and kill all the gays then it spread to the suburbs. Each decade you get older two things happen.

You either gain wisdom or you regress. You never stay where you are. There are cycles to everything if you live long enough to see it and it is about a 30 year cycle driven by generational change.

Internet Boom and Bust. Housing Collapse. 9/11. Presidential assassinations and attempts.

The average Gen Z knows nothing of that think since they got through the creation they called COVID they know.

I am glad I listened to the old farts growing up as well as my peers so I saw the world from many angles.

Nothing is absolute except death.

Oh please. AIDS was more of a scare than anything. It wasn't anything like Covid as far as how it was handled with global lockdowns and a push for mass vaccination.

Boomers were actually pretty sheltered and spoiled if anything. Just like the rest of us. Actually, they had more handed to them than the rest of us.
