Disney World Is Not Closing Down in Spite of the Strength of Hurricane Milton

It seems like, at least for now, Milton has not convinced Disney to close down the park altogether, although it seems likely that there will be fewer guests than usual waiting in line to meet Mickey in the middle of a hurricane.

The storm is still a couple of days away and will likely only be a cat 2 by the time it reaches Orlando.

We live in a fear based society, so in one hand there are people irrationally thinking that most of Florida is about to be wiped out.

And on the other hand, we live in a profit based society that's been squeezed by things like inflation, so businesses want to stay open and make as much money as they can.

In Florida, I-95 North bound has been super slow since yesterday.

I live on a barrier island, but on the East side of Florida, and there's about a 95% percent chance that I will just hunker down, even if I'm told to evacuate, as I have done several time before.

Sometimes I feel the urge to want to over-react and be afraid, so I get get, but that's just the society that we live in, trying to have it's effect on me.
