Outrage as parents offered class photos with disabled children removed

Parents have been left ‘devastated’ after a photography firm offered to remove their disabled children from class photos. Three children at Aboyne Primary School in Scotland were edited out of one of the images sent via an internet link by photography company Tempest. This meant parents had the option to order a photo without them in it, leaving families to feel their children have been ‘erased’

There is a button on the new Samsung that removes people from your photos, especially the handicapped. Didn't you get the message from my last few posts I really don't care, so why are you still pushing another "look at how mean people are to the handicap" story?

Have you read the history of American slavery? It's well known around the world.

It's a good story about how the whole world had slaves and America decided it didn't want to be a part of that and so 800,000 White people died to change it.

You and others want to focus on race.

Handicap is the same exact thing -- only it makes people uncomfortable.

You want to focus on handicaps, take everything, and make it a handicap scenario. I'm not uncomfortable with it but you routinely say White privilege so do you also mean that against the handicap?

In order to be on the "I hate DEI team" you are required to believe that white people have and will never discriminate, ever.

You also have to believe that nice suburban neighborhoods were built 100 years ago for black people. Project housing was built for white people. Black neighborhoods in the US have everything you need: clean utilities, emergency services, schools, grocery stores, parks, etc....its the white neighborhoods that were built along time ago with nothing/lacking lots of amenities.

I think if you park in a handicapped spot but aren't disabled, you should be sent to a reeducation camp in China.

As opposed to those who can't see any minority as anything but skin color.

AGAIN -- DEI - Diversity, equity, and inclusion (usually abbreviated DEI) are organizational frameworks which seek to promote "the fair treatment and full participation of all people", particularly groups "who have historically been underrepresented or subject to discrimination" on the basis of identity or disability.

This is America.
We don’t force people here in America.

You have lost the plot.

So sad....

Vermillion doesn't understand what "law" is.

DEI is discrimination based on skin color by it's very definition.

YES -- it's called PROGRESSION to incorporate the needs of all minorities and oppressed.

That's what happens with ideas that work.

So Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was an idiot and his ideas were wrong? DEI is diametrically opposed to his movement.

You made your point many times now, can we move on from it? There are 61 million disabled people in America, so that is one hell of a minority... geez

To be honest, the handicap is a tough subject because they still need to be able to do the job. Companies will not hire if they cannot accommodate and if the person can't do the job. That is a big difference from skin color. As to kids, boy you pick some ass move from EU and suggest that is a norm, well it is not. 9999 out of 10,000 times handicapped kids are accepted by other kids. The bullying you and I felt back in the day is very isolated today because people will still be people.

First, I would say that is 100% staged, or they parked there on purpose to prove a point after seeing the illegally parked car. No way in hell would that lady park there, get in her wheelchair, lower it to the ground, and say oh I'm stuck and can't go forward because of an illegally parked car. She would see it and be pissed as is her right and find another spot.

The best thing is to call the cops and report it, so easy. Take a picture of the car with the license plate and send it in. Typically, we are talking 500 bucks fine and heavy points on your record. Look at the picture that might have been exactly what she did.

Not sure what this has to do with DEI though...

The Civil Rights Act FORCES equal rights by legal mean.

And yet people STILL don't comply 😃

I'd say the majority do.

Changing a society is probably the hardest thing to do. People dig in their hills to change.

It's only been 60 years.

I've seen this in real life several times.

I am more aware than some because I was raised by a disabled mom.

The parking lot looks almost empty too. I bet the other car is actually a handicap car too. It almost looks like something the city would do to show why that extra space is needed. I give ANNEE two thumbs down as she presents her proof of DEI not working or is needed even more.
