These are the totals for the DNC and RNC. When you look at the PAC's you see a big difference. That is a huge difference in spending.

For Repubilcans - 234 million
For Dems - 30 million

Link

How about self funded candidates?

Link

Self-funded Republican congressional candidates outpaced and outnumbered their Democratic counterparts in 2023, an OpenSecrets analysis found. Thirty-six Republican candidates poured more than $53.5 million of their personal fortunes into their campaigns, while 14 Democrats self-funded over $39 million.

The RNC and it's candidates are just fine.

The DNC and RNC are what we were discussing.

If we want to look at all contributions, Biden is outraising Trump by $20 million. In the Senate, Dem candidates are outraising GOP candidates by nearly $200 million. The GOP are outraising the Dems in House races by about $25 million but McCarthy's funds account for $15 million.

You said they were broke and there was no down ballot assistance. The links proved that is inconsistent with reality. There is more than enough money and it will start to pour in now changes are in place. If you look at it historically the DNC totals are always higher going into the election cycle and the RNC turns it on. Look at 2020 or 2022.

And it's true there's going to be no down ballot help from the RNC. Laura's reasoning for firing the 60 staffers is so they can bring in people from Trump's campaign and fully integrate the RNC with Trump's campaign.

Any money they pull in is either going to Trump's legal fees or Trump's campaign. Sorry anyone in battleground districts. You're on your own.

If Republicans stop talking about abortion and focus instead on making the economy boom by lowering consumer prices, a red wave is very possible.

You work for the RNC? Sounds like you are parroting WaPo.

The move has raised fears among some former officials about the party’s future support for down-ballot candidates

It is always some 'former officials' that make these comments. Hmmmmm.....

“There won’t be a RNC operation to help the greater party. They don’t care about the greater party,” said a former RNC official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to protect future job prospects. “The RNC is important to lots of people in down-ballot elections. They’re cutting off any service that doesn’t provide help to anyone but Donald Trump. It’s just all about Trump.”

But someone who is on Trumps team said....

LaCivita said in response that the rising tide of Trump’s candidacy would lift all Republican boats this year, and that the RNC would continue to work closely with the Republican Party’s House and Senate committees.

The GOP is already light on funds and Laura has made it clear that their only focus is to get Trump elected.

If you're a down ballot candidate you're getting nothing from the party.

Midterms if you didn't toe Mitch's line you got squat, so at worst nothing has changed other than Rhona depleted the Treasury while in charge.

This is already helping Republicans...

V.P. KAMALA HARRIS campaigned for Biden-Harris at an abortion/baby-killer clinic today.

Source: www.cbsnews.com...

Kamala forgot to tell workers there to thank their lucky stars their Mommies didn't kill them before they were born.

Women are going to show the Republican Party that playtime is over this November.

The Republican's biggest mistake is when the Republican dog caught the abortion car.

Harris knows it, and Republicans know it.

Only 55% of women identify as pro-choice and most of them were likely already voting Democrat.

Their ability to massively change the outcome of elections is limited.

Edit: And yes, I know 55% is a majority. Duh. The point is it's nowhere close to all women, so if this issue energizes people to vote, it's not like it's gonna add a massive advantage to Democrats that they didn't already have.

Do men not vote on Pro-Choice?

It's 52% of adults vote Pro-Choice.

Of course men have views on it too. The poster I was responding to specifically mentioned women.

The same point applies. Men who are pro-choice are mostly already Democrat voters. And while it may be a top issue for some women, it's not a top issue for many men, so it's unlikely to drive extra men to vote who wouldn't otherwise be voting.

I don't know how you can count on the vote from a group that you can't define.

They will have the Senate it is the House races that are concerning. All these bastards retiring and others being removed when others can stay.

Someone needs to introduce term limits .

Everything I hear and read indicate that the US citizenry is very unhappy with the Democrats about the border, the economy, and safe streets (all of which are somewhat related). Grocery and gas prices, job market, expensive housing. the obvious political legal persecution of Mr. Trump by the left/Democrats. Imposing wokeness on the military.

how many people do we really think will vote based on abortion? I can't believe many will.
