I think it’s reasonable to assume some nations want to not be at war and also not be woke.

Not like Russia has to be woke if they don’t have Ukraine 🤷‍♂️

Russia already shook off it's commie leadership...while our Western nations are now just getting comfortable with it.

Peace and quiet to get on with their lives.

Without being at war or the threat of nuclear attack hanging over their heads would be my bet there.

The same as the majority of the rest of the people on the planet.

Their stance where the likes of homosexuality and the LGBTQ palaver is concerned seems pretty clear.

It's been a topic of controversy and scrutiny both domestically and internationally for quite a while.

I don't see Russia going "woke" anytime soon no matter the outcome of Putin's horrendous act of depravity aka war and invasion of Ukraine.

Isn’t Russia in Syria too? I suppose the difference is they were invited by the current government.

Sounds like an analogy to somewhere else too.

Ummm...perhaps the old adage..."those who live in glass houses"...

Is apropos...?

YouSir

So there is no connection to what you stated then.

Well at least that is clear.

The only purpose for this war is dead people. As long as people are dying
Putin will let it linger. If that wasn't the purpose Ukraine would have been
annexed a year ago and Zelenskyy would be dead.

A statement issued today from the Russian volunteer forces give warning to authorities in Kursk and Belgorod regions there is more to come.

“We call on the local authorities to preserve human lives and begin evacuating the cities of Kursk and Belgorod,”
“Putin’s assassins are launching massive strikes on peaceful Ukrainian cities, positioning their military installations amidst residential areas, schools, and government institutions. The bombardment of Ukraine from the territory of Belgorod must cease!

“In this regard, we are forced to inflict fire damage on military positions in Belgorod and Kursk. To avoid civilian casualties, we urge everyone to leave the cities immediately,”

In regard to the village of Tyotkino they say this as well as reporting the destruction of a Russian "control centre.

“Putin’s army quickly escapes from the village, abandoning positions and leaving behind heavy equipment,” the statement of LSR read.

“We are approaching a crisis for the defense industry of the bloody regime. Anyway, it does not work for defense, but for attack.”

Additionally, the Legion released a video message from two fighters situated in the village of Tyotkino, Kursk region. The Russian Freedom Legion had previously declared complete control of the settlement.

“We are fighting in Tyotkino... We are alive, we are tired, we are with you,” one fighter expressed in the video. Another Russian volunteer mentioned their ongoing advance through the village, amidst heavy shelling of the streets.

“The streets are heavily shelled. We are still waiting for a local police officer with whom we need to talk, and local residents who need to be freed,” he explained.

“Putin’s troops tried to enter from the rear, but Legion attack aircraft repelled the attack and struck back.”

“In terms of enemy losses, we will be able to say later, but visually, we beat them up,” they added.

The video ended with the fighters proclaiming, “Glory to Ukraine - Glory to the Heroes.”

Chinas thirst may come for Lake Baikal (pun intended).

China may take note of Russia expressing historical claims and set their sites on Outer Manchuria and use the lake as a negotiating piece.

Ummm...and...the Yellow Stone caldera...may...erupt in our lifetimes...

Speculating on various unlikely scenarios...that may or may not come to pass...is kinda fun...

Still...the wet dream of the current administration...and Burns at the CIA...of partitioning Russia...is hardly worth consideration...

Perhaps...in the eyes of hindsight...The US and NATO...shouldn't have established precedent...by carving Kosovo out of Serbia...and trying to make a nation state...where none previously existed...

See...speculation...is fun...as is precedent...

Ummm...right...

What attack aircraft might they be...that just happened to survive Russia's dense antiaircraft layers...

What a load of tripe...masquerading as news...

All we do here is speculate, what’s your point?

I’ve seen you make a whole host of prediction, which are speculations.

China has a fresh water problem. They bought land around that lake and had plans for a pipeline, Russia shut it down after backlash.

It’s not like the possibility has no precedence of interest.

Ummm...WOW...Russia is in Syria at the request of the Democratically elected government...

AND...they also have a naval base in Tartus...

Your beloved occupational force...was not invited into the country...they instead did as they always do...invade...and conquer...or...at least they would have...had not Russia been asked by Bashar al Assad to eradicate the ississies...that the US created after the illegal NATO bombardment of Libya...and it's aftermath...

So...your equivocation...is merely that...

You sure do like to defend all those illegal occupations...and incursions...by your home team...

Also to which analogue do you refer...?

I didn’t defend our presence in Syria, I also pointed out Russia was invited.

I instead highlighted that and offered that might be an analogy to Ukraine where Russia was not invited but the Wests’ help was.

And you could say that Russia can justify Ukraine with the west and Syria, but the same is true vise verse. It’s almost like there’s no perfect country in the world and you have to take things issue by issue.
